I am Mevlana.
The one that is in the hand of the human
Is his/her logic only.
He/she can use it for good as well as evil.
To use the logic for good [is]:
To know that everything that happens, is from my Allah,
[and] To be ready. [to conform without any complaint]
To use [the logic] for evil [is]:
To try to change his/her destiny.
[yet,]
Destiny changes
Neither with effort nor with amazement.
We serve
Not your lineage
But your path.
We serve
Not the body
But your spirit.
Pure heart owns flawless body.
If you say, "Is flawed body's heart
Not pure?"
'If he/she makes his/her flaw, [a] virtue,
Then, the heart becomes brightly shining," I say.
There is human, he/she revolts against the flaw [that is] in the body,
He/she makes his/her morals even more flawed.
There is human, "What happens, is from my Allah," he/she says,
He/she covers the flaw with virtue.
That one is the most preferred of humans.
[sound of] Saz cleans the rust of the ear, [saz=a stringed instrument (which somewhat resembles a lute)]
Word [cleans] the rust of the heart.

I am Mevlana.
Our path [is] soft,
We are human whom YOU created.
"If we became human,
If we said, 'HAK,'
If we knew that what happens [is] from HAK,
Then we are close to the sun like in the example of summer," we say. [sun==Prophet Mohammad]
When
"Whatever happened, happened,
My Allah wished like that,"
Is said,
Then untying is seen.
[however,] If you say, "Let me untie [correct] the fault,"
If you confront it,
Like in the example of tangled thread,
It gets more tangled,
It twines around your foot [feet] [and makes you fall].
[however,]
If you move aside,
If you say, "My Allah, it is referred [transferred/submitted] to YOU,"
Let the untying of the event not bewilder you. [do not be bewildered when the event is solved so easily/unexpectedly...]
Do not look for fault in human.
The fault that you look for in human,
Takes you backward.
If you know the fault, you [just] look for the correct one.
Do not forget that
The one who buys [a] safe for his/her work place
Tries to fill it,
Of course, not with plain paper [but with money].
Since our hearts
Are our spirits' safe[s],
Let us fill it with gold, [gold==spiritual meaning]
Let us make [it] find its value.
There is human, he/she is amazed at the coincidence;
There is human, he/she is amazed at the one who says, "Coincidence."
If you say, "Does my destiny change?"
What is written, is not changed.
It should not be forgotten that my Allah writes
The most beautiful one for HIS each human.
[however,]
Human disrupts the taste of the day
With worry.

I am Mevlana.
What is good deed, is the one that comes from HIM.
What comes from HIM is the event.
Veysel Karani says,
"Let it come from HIM,
Even if it makes me suffer."
It is irrelevant
To open the curtain to[wards] the return,
To wind the wool ball while watching.
Wish for soft path so that
The door is opened
Not the curtain.
Curtain gives [allows] only its view,
Door spreads its threshold to your foot.
Its view excites you;
The door makes you run,
The path that you run on, takes you [there].
If you say, "Let me watch, let me get excited,"
"[for that] Earth is enough," I say.
In one handspan of soil,
Body is given.
Does the soil cover
What you give to the soil?
Does it poke you
Saying, "Why did you give [it to me]?"
It takes every one that you give,
In its chest, it puts [it] to good use.
It gives you the most beautiful one.
What does The Giver take?
What The Giver takes, is what HE gave you.
What did/does HE give? Your spirit.
Deliver that spirit as HE gave so that
It arrives in HIS Place.
In order to be able to say, "I belong to HIM,"
Do not waste What comes from HIM.
Let The Beauty be seen in the autumn leaf too
So that I say, "You knew The Beautiful."
If you add the unripe one to the ripe one[s],
Your name becomes, "He/she confused,"
Even if you [just] put [only] one unripe one.
However, most of the unwariness
Occurs in the one who does not take. [because, due to one [or some] unripe fruit[s], he/she refuses to take from a basket that is full of ripe fruits...]
No unwariness should be expected
From the one who takes.
To wish for the patch
Is to place the cover,
[is] To close the [one that is] open.
My coming is to put patch,
To give to the one who says, "I am open, cover [me]."
If I am sultan,
If I come to earth,
If I stand in front of the human,
Even then I do not take any crown,
I do not say to the human, "Bow before me!"
Because, [even] if they give, I do not become [would not be] sultan of earth.
I do not [would not] bow before the one who is [sultan of earth] either.
Do not bow either,
Do not be servant of human,
Do not make human servant.
Come to your senses, I am like you too.
To be servant of HIS deep love
Is to give one's deep love.
The deep love that you see in me
Matures in you. [it ignites you and grows in you]
[? The deep love that you see in me
Happens in you [too]. ?]
If sultan wishes for the earth,
He goes up to one place, [he can do so up to a certain point]
He stops at the place where he is told to stop.
Is sultan's stopping [due to] his own will?
If you wish for earth, learn to love.
Do not forget that the earth is for you,
Not for bird, nor for wolf.
At the place where you say, "[it is] Mine," you are not. [you do not exist at the place where you say, "[it is] mine"]
[however,] Each place that you say about, "It belongs to HIM," is yours.
Because at the place that you say about, "It belongs to HIM,"
There is your heart.
Every place where the heart is, is yours.
Do not say, "Do I have the title deed?"
Does the paper prove The Existence of
What is not yours?
I said, "It is mine,"
I wrapped the universe.
I saw every beauty in the universe.
What is 'to come to one's senses'?
It is to conform.
What is 'to conform'?
It is to know.
What is 'to know'?
It is to see.
What is 'to see'?
It is 'to take what HE gives without [any] question.'
If HE gave/gives, it means that it is good deed.
Because the one that is not good deed
Does not come from HIM.
Human does not love human more than HIM. [no human can love a human more than Allah loves him/her]
Even the one whom you say about, "My sweetheart, my child,"
Is tied to you with the body.
Once the body is lifted [gone],
Both you and your child are HIM.
Human's love for human is
Because he/she comes from HIM. [? Because it [love] comes from HIM. ?]

I am Mevlana.
I came with my Yunus,
I spread the salt on the chat. [I added taste to the chat]
Path [is] for human,
Human [is] for hal.
Hal is pulled with heart, [hal is achieved through heart]
[like how] Load [is pulled] with mule.
One does not say word [ask question] about what happens, [one does not tell fortune]
One does not get out of the rule.
One does not question The Giver.
My Yunus says:
In me, see
Not me
But HIM
So that you find The Right.
Me, the moment in which I knew HIM in me,
I knew that I [spiritually] matured [? existed ?].
Society gives the day's living. [society influences human's current day living:]
Conditions [rules] of Islam are in the Koran.
Our Prophet gave it too.
He wanted from every faithful human that
What is given in the Koran conforms to one's [current] day.
"Conform yourself to [your] time," he said.
Conform yourself to the society in such a way that
You do not make yourself be looked at.
Let me give the word of the dosage: [let me give you the criterion:]
You make yourself be looked at also
With a lot of cover, in openness. [you make yourself be looked at when you cover all your body whereas everybody else dresses lightly...]
Let it not be forgotten:
Our Prophet did not cover the ladies.
He did not keep [them] away from the society.
I gave [it] before, didn't I?
Didn't I not say, 'veil of good manners'?
The one who says, "Let me be exceptional,"
Is the one who makes him/herself be looked at.
Keep yourself away from exception, that is enough.
The one who says [bad] word about the tear of the eye
Is the one who forgets that the tear is given [by God].
At the place where it is necessary,
Tear comes as well as
Head bends [one bows / submits him/herself to God].
The one who finds path with patience
Is the one who sieves HIS sand.
I [spiritually] matured, let you mature [spiritually].
I knew, let you find.
I loved, let you burn [in heart].
My deep love, let you revolve [in orbit],
Like in the example of 'pervane,' [pervane=a bug that flies towards the light, and orbits around it]
[as such] Let you stay in HIM.
My power, I did not see.
Ugly, I did not find.
I did not imagine.
I did not fall in worry.
I took What HE gave.
I was filled with deep love;
I was full, I emptied,
I took again.
The more I took, the more I knew my hunger.
I was more than overwhelmed.
Like in the example of burning tree
I burned the weeds too.
I took all of them into one flame.
There is no big fire,[or] small fire,
All [of them are] one.
Each one who gives fire, [is] pir.
I burned, let you burn,
Let you find the deep love that you wish for.
Let you not know what the thirst is.
Let you not take my deep love as example:
Let you find your own deep love yourself too. [? Let you find your own deep love in yourself. ?]
Reason is known with word,
Each winter [is known] with summer.
If there is no summer,
One submits to the winter.
However, summer is waited for
Because its is known that it will come.
What the summer gives, is that human burns with body.
What burns the body, is the sun that is seen.
What burns the heart, is the fire that is searched.
The fire of deep love does not cauterize,
[it] Does not tie the human to earth. [it unties human's earth tie]

I am Mevlana.
We came with word,
We played with saz, [saz=a stringed instrument (which somewhat resembles a lute)]
We saw with eye,
We loved with essence.
I have been burning [in heart]
Since I said, "I am in deep love,"
Until [to]day.
Since the day I burned, [since I started to burn]
I whirl. [? I revolve [in orbit around HIM like a 'pervane']. ?]
Whirl
As much as you can whirl,
As much as you can find the deep love,
As much as you can burn for HIM.
I am together with the one who burns,
I am together with the one who whirls,
I am together with the one who remembers.
If you ask the feverish one about beauty,
He/she describes the cloud.
Unwariness is that
You find badness in cloud,
You forget the blessing that comes from HIM [by means of clouds].
Doubt is in the one who knows the earth as [water] well,
And the well as empty.
If you wish for soft path,
[then] Let you know the earth as school.
The one who comes to earth
Is the one who stays away from specialty.
Specialty is in angels.
The one who comes to earth, is the one who is obliged
To conform to the examination unconditionally.
The one who comes,
The one who finds,
The one who sees,
The one who conforms,
Let him/her know [that he/she is] at the arrival. [he/she reaches HIM]
Let him/her see,
Let him/her hold by hand the one who sees
As well as the one who does not see.
Our power is from HIM,
Our deep love [is] from us.
The one who comes [to after earth life], is the one who returns [from earth].
The one who returns, is the one who knows.
The one who knows, is the one who conforms.
Let you not fear the return.
Let fear not take place in lifetime. [let there be no fear during lifetime]
At the place where there is fear, faith is erased.
Human bows appropriately
In accordance with his/her heart.
Bowing is to The Lofty One.
Let it not be forgotten that
There is no place nor time to conform to my Allah. [one can conform to Allah any time, anywhere]
Say to the one who says,
"At the place of non-Muslims,
No religious belief stays in HIS human":
[say to him/her:]
My Allah is
Neither on earth nor in the sky,
But in my heart.
Let one not enter [talk about] the measure of the pleading.
There is no measure for the pleading.
Human does not arrive with measure.
Pleading connects to HIM.
The pleading that is not made from the bottom of the heart
Resembles 'filling [a] wicker basket with water.'
[on the other hand,]
The pleading that is made with deep love
Is equivalent to the ocean. [ocean==God]
When you say, "Allah,"
Can you wrap the universe?
Can you connect your heart to HIM
Until you migrate [to after earth life]?
Nothingness is in birth [in coming to earth]
Not in death.
Is the bird [that is] in the cage,
Bird?
To say, "Bird," means:
The one that is able to open wing in endlessness,
The one that is able to alight wherever it wishes.
The one that enters the cage, is the one that loses its consciousness.
The one that loses its consciousness is called, "Nothing."
When the bird enters the cage, it is your slave.
It sings for you,
It laments for itself.
Let meydan be open to you,
Let each one who comes, be filled with deep love,
Let hearts stay away from lament,
[let hearts] Sing the song of deep love,
Like in the example of "hafiz." [hafiz= one who recites the Koran]

I am Mevlana.
The most beautiful one of the chat[s]
Is the one that is in the name of my Allah.
The end of each kind of chat comes, [there is an end for each kind of chat,]
[however,]
Only deep love chat has no boundary,
Does not say, "Let us stay here."
It does not hit [come to] the shore [and fade] like in the example of wave.
The one who thinks about his/her loss,
Does not know the value of the gain,
Why?
Because while thinking about his/her loss,
There is no place left to think about the path of gain.
What I say, is not matter
But The [spiritual] Meaning.
You get free of your loss in the moment in which you beg [HIS] pardon.
You should always try to gain.
If you say, "What should I gain?"
[you should gain back] Of course, what you have been losing.
Think about the ship when it is
Not sailing
But shaking.
Think [about it] when the wave comes and hits.
Neither is the word left to the captain,
Nor does one give the rope to the sail,
Nor does the human see the earth.
In that moment, he/she knows his/her Allah.
[yet,]
What is essential, is to say, "My Allah,"
Before HE shakes the ship,
[what is essential] Is to start the journey by taking shelter in HIM.
When each one that you start, is in HIS name,
Then you find the salvation.
Hayyam says:
If you ask about the wine
To the one who drinks, he/she does not know [what] to say.
Because he/she does not watch the wine in the glass,
[on the contrary,]
He/she closes his/her eye, he/she says, "Let me drink."
[however,] If you ask about the wine
To the one who serves [it],
There is a lot that he/she will tell.
What he/she calls 'a lot,' is HAK.

I am Mevlana.
The one who finds thanks to ney [ney= nay, a reed flute (often used to play Mevlevi music).]
Is the one who is from HAK.
The one who knows the [HIS] path,
Is the one who comes softly.
If you wish for path, walk on the beach.
Omar says:
The one who opens his/her heart saying, "Allah,"
Is the one who chooses the right [correct] in the universe.
Because my Allah does not leave without helper.
HE does not mislead HIS human who says, "Allah."
Try
Not to find ugly in beautiful,
But to see the one who is ugly as beautiful.
Fault is each human's mistake.
Yet,
It is the turning of the path of
The faithful human.
The one who does not look at [his/her own] fault,
The one who does not look for [it] in him/herself,
The one who tries to load [the fault] onto the one who is opposite him/her,
He/she opens without knowing
The path of the one who is opposite him/her.
Do not seek 'the guilty one' for the fault;
See yourself as faulty so that
You give peace to the one who is opposite you
As well as to yourself.
The one who waits for beauty from the moon,
The one who gathers the flowers in the star,
Which one does he/she give up?
One does not give up the sun at all.
[because]
Even if there is no star,
Even if the moon does not rise,
"Sun is sufficient," is said.
Of course it is sufficient.
However, the universe added all of them to one another
Like in the example of circle.
All of them adorn the earth,
Illuminate the dark nights.
[sun==Prophet Mohammad; moon==Hazrat Ali; star==saint]
What are 'the dark nights'?
Unwariness.
[The one who is NOT unwary is:]
The one who looks in the star
For what he/she sees on the moon,
The one who scans the sky for the Milky Way,
The one who wraps his/her heart around Allah's deep love.
"Garden of heaven," is said,
Its flowers are wondered about.
If I give [tell] you each bud that is washed with LIGHT,
[if I give you] The color of the flower that is from HIS LIGHT
You can not take [understand] [it] anyway.
The colors that come to earth,
Are the ones that reflect from here;
Takes from the sun, gives to the earth.
However, colors take on the earth
Their most faded state. [however, colors are on earth in their most faded state]
Sew your patch in accordance with your ripped seam.
Then say to your heart,
"You walk in the direction that you wish,"
Prepare [your heart] for the race.
Where do you sew the patch on?
On the openness that is in the cloth.
'To know the site that is open'
Is 'to see the fault.'
If you know your fault,
The virtue is to cover [it].
The one who knows his/her fault
And says, "I am like this," [and does not try to correct it]
Is the one who makes his/her ripped seam, bigger.
Day comes, it gets so big that
You can not find [a] patch [that is big enough] to cover [it].
We pleaded [with God] with deep reverence.
We pushed [guided] human to the good deed path.
"One does not get out of the writing [the destiny]
In birth and in death," we said.
Let one not say, "Let it happen like that,
Let it come like this."
It is irrelevant to say,
"Let us prepare the events,
Let us find the most correct one."
Because each body is uninformed of what will happen.
Whatever written, is written,
Is traced in the [divine] notebook.
You, you can not change that.
My Allah is never mistaken in any event.
