I am Mevlana.
Your trump [card] that you do not play, does not stay in your hand.
[nevertheless,] It does not find its place before its time comes.
Universe does not stand on the word of human. [universe does not behave according to what human says]
Let greeting be to all of you.
Let each one who seeks, find peace in his/her heart.
If you say, “Is there anyone who does not seek peace?”
If you say, “Events are from HIM,”
You become the owner of the peace;
It is difficult of course.
The one who seeks the shade, looks after the tree.
The one who looks after the pride, is the one who separates his/her heart from him/herself.
The One Who gives, is HIM.
The One Who spreads is HIM.
The One Who sees is HIM.
Pride [is] towards whom? [How can you dare saying, "I have pride in myself?"]
If you wish that the day opens to good deed,
[then] When you wake up in the morning, look into yourself,
Purify your heart.
Say,
“My Allah, my hand, my foot, my eye, my ear are in YOU;
Since coming of each event is from YOU,
Then it is good deed.”
Your day passes brightly.
Human finds whatever he/she waits for.
My word is open [clear].
The one who waits for good deed, runs into good deed;
The one who waits for evil, runs into evil.
However, the one that is called “evil,” is interpretation of human too.
Flies of the lake are abundant, fight is necessary;
However,
Even fight should be not destructive, but constructive.
[ocean==God; flowing water flows to the ocean; stagnant water does not flow to the ocean; lake/well==bigots, religious fanatics]
The one who thinks of the return, is the one who sees his/her path as closed.
Let us be prayerful, let us open his/her vision.
No traveler thinks of going only:
He/she seeks the effort of the return. [he/she seeks ways to educate him/herself spiritually]
“Let the short one of the word be from me,
Let the long one of the path be from you,” he said,
My Yunus came.
The one who crosses the creek, folds the lower part of his/her trouser [not to wet his/her trouser];
The one who crosses the lake, turns his/her rowboat upside down. [lake==bigots, religious fanatics]
The one who waits for help from other human, he/she lets his/her knee be beaten; [to beat one's own knee (Turkish idiom)=to be filled with remorse]
Do not wait from human, do not add the smoke to your heart.
Do not think saying,
“Let me find witness, let me put [him/her] on his/her way."
My Allah sees, gives each human what he/she merits.
Do not be mistaken,
Do not say, “Do I merit the punishment that I see [have]?”
Do not see the events as punishment.
The stove that heats you, what does it give you?
The wood that you do not remember?
How do you wish to burn,
With your deep love, or your practice?
Let the one that you eat be yours, let the one that you see stay in you.
If you say, “Give me the one that will happen,” I gave at the very first beginning:
There is “keramet” not in effort, but in patience. [keramet=1. miracle worked by God through a person. 2. the God-given power of working miracles.]
Each moment that you pass, is benefit for you.
What did the past day give you?
If it was joyful, what would stay in your hand?
Did we not take God-given share from the one that came from Adem [Adam]?
My Yunus gave the word, he said, “[we took] From HAK.”
He put hand on his heart, [? He put hand on your heart, ?]
“Let my help be with you,” he said.
The one that is difficult is the one that squeezes his/her ego [by determining deadlines for events].
Do not put days to events, do not count the days that pass.
Its smoke chokes him/her.
One of the legs of the chair that he/she sits on, breaks,
He/she finds him/herself on the ground.
Because of the worry that he/she falls in, he/she forgets [about] the world.
Even if the paths are so long,
There is no finish, but going,
There is arrival in One point [dot].
The point that you come to, is the one that you hoped/hope for.
Say, “Not its time, but HIS ocean,” [ask me not when it will happen, but about HIS ocean] [ocean==God]
So that I give you joy.
Let us refer [transfer/submit] to The Seer,
Let us wish for patience to The Giver saying, “From YOU.”
Be entrusted to my Allah.
I told at the beginning of my word,
Put the peace in your heart when starting the day.
The sorrow of the one that comes is none of your business,
Let my Allah think about that.
Let no shade fall onto your heart.
The coming one of the day is bright.

I am Mevlana.
One does not talk to destiny while fruits come into being.
If there is water in the well, one does not fill [it] with mortar.
The one who does not know, the one who knows are not one [the same];
The one who does not know, is not seen as faulty.
If he/she does not seek, if he/she does not say, “Where do I find?”
My Allah is not incapable of warning [him/her].
Each event’s connection
Is not open to human’s vision.
While saying, “Let us get the fabric, let us cut,”
You think about the one that conforms to body.
Each human takes only the one that conforms to him/herself.
The one that conforms to you, do not try to make it fit someone else;
[if you do:] One of its sides stays incomplete.
Each food that is cooked, only the one who eats knows [about it].
Do not say word about the one who does not eat, he/she takes [his/her food] in accordance with his/her tooth.
The one who does not have tooth, how does he/she break the almond?
Of course with stone.
The one who does not know how to come to his/her senses, how does he/she wake up?
With the stone that comes to his/her foot of course.
You curse the stone, you say, “It hurt me.”
If you know what it does, you take [it] in hand, you kiss [it],
“You are my close friend, I did not know,” you say.
Do not forget, HE is close friend of each human whom HE created[/creates];
HE is pelt to the animal. [? HE is life to the animal. ?]
The one who looks for his/her equal, asks [about] his/her [skin] color;
Neither in his/her color nor in his/her pattern,
[it is] In the pen of The One Who writes.
Farmer plows the field, worker collects the crop;
Each human waits from the soil.
Hearts wait for Close Friend.
Is The One That/Whom you see, not HIM?
HE watches out for you, HE waits for you.
Love HIM with all your heart so that
HE is The only One Who wraps you.
Each decision that HE makes
Is useful for human’s good deed.
"I loved as much as I could love,
I saw as much as I could distinguish,
I burned as much as I could melt,"
He said, my Yunus took the word.
In the nest, I wrapped the bundle in the cloth. [nest == Mevlana's/Garib's congregation]
On the road, I stayed in amazement. [I was amazed]
In each one That/Whom I saw, I faded more.
I found my word to say “beautiful” to the beautiful one.
I kept on saying[, "Beautiful"].
In birds, I listened to the harmony of the universe,
I was convinced that word was not sufficient.
My life, [is] my Darling, [? My beloved Darling, ?]
My heart [is] Darling’s.
Which one of mine is mine?
I came [to earth], I saw, “Everything is mine,” I said.
I thought that earth was mine.
I claimed the ownership of the matter.
[however,] When I fell in HIS deep love, when I dug each event,
I was wood, I became coal.
When I went through [the period of] digging, I burned, I became ember;
I was finished by burning and burning,
I became ash, I stayed like that;
I got out of myself, I became one with HIM.
Who knew this, who solved humanity?
If it snows, do not say, “It snowed.”
If torrent takes, do not say, “It went [I lost it].”
If you stay in desert, do not say, “It burned.”
Neither is the one that burns, from you,
Nor is the one that goes out.
Your deep love makes [you] burn, pulls [you] out from the earth,
Your deep love makes the leaf fall. [your deep love makes you die before dying] [to die before dying==to know The Reality on earth while one is in body]
Let my Allah be pleased
With the one who comes, with the one who does not come,
With the one who says, “Let hearts stay always as one,”
[and] With the one who does not say [it].
The one who wishes for HIS help,
Let him/her say, “My Allah,” let him/her wish for help to HIM:
His/her helper comes, gives his/her hand.
We know the minaret,
“Let us take [hear] the sound, let us worship,” we say.
When we say, “Ya Allah,” we become One with HIM. [ya=O ...!/Oh ...! (used to show strong emotion, especially exasperation): Ya Rabbi! O Lord!/O my God!]
I am Mevlana.
As long as our water flows, each one who wishes takes.
What is the one that separates straw from crop?
What makes the crop more favored than the straw?
My Allah does neither separate nor favor.
Let one disperse his/her smoke, let him/her open his/her day saying, “Good deed.”
Let him/her pass every event.
Let him/her lean his/her back only on HIM.
Do not look at the shadow, do not turn on the lamp saying, “It is dark.”
Let the darkness not descend to your heart.
Let effort not stay away from you.

Pine is beautiful because it does not shed [its leaves], because its green does not end.
Shepherd [is beautiful] because he/she does not herd anything, but beautiful word.
Close Friend [is beautiful] because HE does not know 'beautiful-ugly.'
Universe [is] beautiful because it does not withhold from HIS human.
The giving of The Giver is beautiful,
HIS Love is beautiful, HIS interrogation is beautiful.
Let the one who takes, take beautifully too.
Let him/her see [HIM] in HIS display.
Let him/her not be scared during his/her interrogation.
The one who laughs and the one who does not laugh are not one [the same];
The one who cries [sheds tears] does not give to the one who laughs.
If you ask the one who laughs, he/she does not consider the one who cries to be right;
[because]
Trouble is not yours
Because it does not come from The Lofty One.
If you say, “What are the events?”
Groundless worry of human.

I am Mevlana.
If you say, “Is the correct one this? Which one is good deed?”
“Birth of the day is for good deed,” I say.
Our word does not change from day to day.
The one who does not set up the intention to conform, does not say, “I have peace.”
Hope of the one who says,
"The one that you say about, 'If it does not happen,'
HE does not give [although] I conform,"
Does not come true.
Let it be said,
“My Allah, YOU give good deed,
YOU see Your each human in his/her each hal,”
Let intention be set up like that.
Let one seek not fault but virtue.
I did not say, “[he/she is] Without fault.”
Human does not have any neck to bend down before [another] human.

Pride does not suit human,
[pride] Does not wander around the one who says, “HAK."
Whatever HAK gives, it is appropriate;
If human says, “Every event is from HAK,” he/she is at ease.
Let the one who says, say, let him/her find fault
As long as human’s load is not in his/her conscience.
The one that is written is given, stone is seen by the foot of human.
When our belief is complete
In the one that The Giver gives,
In the one that the loving one sees,
Then let the one who says, “Let us set up throne, let us look at all [humans] from there,”
Set the throne up in hearts.
The throne that does not collapse is that one.
Let our intention be open [clear/pure].
Do not say, “It does not happen,” set your heart on the one that you have. [? Do not say, "It does not happen, set your heart on the one that happens. ?]
Flies of the lake are plentiful, wind blows [them]. [lake==bigots, religious fanatics]
Do not find fault in the wind,
Because wind has duty.
Is fly seen over the ocean? [ocean==God]
As much closer as you are to HAK,
Look at the events like that.
Blowing of the wind is good deed
Even if you do not like [it].
I gave my pleading, read;
Closed doors open.
Let it be read, let one plead from heart. [to read==to read prayers, to pray]
Direction of the day does not turn, the one that is not permitted is not read.
To remember the Name of The One Who is The Most Merciful and The Most Compassionate
Is of course the path of godliness,
Let it of course be read.
Each wish’s door is opened with HIS Name.
One passes each threshold with HIS Name.
One migrates from earth to after earth life with HIS Name.
One climbs the minaret with HIS Name.
In the home that you set up, let us seek salvation.
Because salvation is in human’s own bodily constitution.
The one who tries to change the writing,
The one who says about the wind, “Let it blow, I do not care,”
Gets caught in storm.
At that time, he/she looks for [a] path to hold.
The one who says, “Let me eat the fruit,”
Is the one who waits that it ripens.
If you do not wait, loss is whose?
Architect draws, worker puts in order, for whom?
In order [for human] to enter inside and sit.
“What does it mean?” is said.
Architect, [is] The Writer.
Worker, [is] the one who puts his/her destiny on HIS path; [? Worker, [is] the one who puts HIS destiny [the destiny that HE writes] on his/her path; ?]
Worker, HIS angles, HIS saints…
The one that is not good deed, does not come from my Allah.
Do not fall in the worry of the one who does not ask for his/her record. [do not worry about the one who does not care about after earth life]
Do not forget that Allah is all humans’.
[to]Day’s interpretation is in the situation of each human. [today’s interpretation fits the situation of each human / it is for all humans]
He/she will find his/her [? HIS ?] order, hearts will be pleased.
When one pleads, event is glanced at. [if human pleads with God, HE takes his/her pleading into account when designing the events]
Let you be entrusted to Allah.
Know that events are from HAK.

I am Mevlana.
On the flat one of the paths,
On the face of each human,
We seek peace, we check hearts.
In the one that HAK gives,
In the one that the taker sees,
All of us, we are together.
The one who does not wish for patch,
The one who can not find the new one, of course he/she stays in [as] open. [his/her ripped part is not covered]
Until where does the openness take to?
Until he/she says, “Eyvallah.”
In enlightened heart, going occurs without fear.
The one who says, “I stayed without owner,”
Whom does he/she take helper from?
Where does the hell start, where does it end?
The moment in which you connect your heart to HIM, is the end.
When you do not waste your Light,
When you are ready for the arrival,
Your Light makes you find.
The one who wastes his/her Light, what does he/she find HIS path with at the arrival?
Your time from your migration [to after earth life] until doomsday
Is heaven or hell for you.
You get close [to HIM] as much as your Light.
If you did not waste [your Light] at all, you arrive directly in HIM,
Because you erase the distance [that was] in between,
You divide the events, you find HIM directly.
Voila, the curtain [that is] between yourself [and HIM] becomes your hell.
Each lamp that you turn on, illuminates according to its degree [power].
Day light illuminates all sides. [sun==Prophet Mohammad]
We, let us take from the day, at night let us erase the darkness.
“Why is worship of the night is more welcome?” is said.
Because at night one falls in the accounting of the day, [at night, day is analyzed ]
Events are shared.
Worship is the cover on top of them.
Because accounting is only in The Lofty One. [because accounting is only done by The Lofty One]
The ones who are in hearts are the goal of each human. [to be remembered nicely should be the aim of each human]
If there is mistake in the winding of the wool ball,
He/she falls in judgment at the finish. [he/she is interrogated at migration time]
[for example:]
If you throw stone to the flow of the water,
If it trips his/her [someone else’s] foot, he/she falls in interrogation. [if the stone trips someone, you will be interrogated for this at the migration time]
There is no mistake in effort.
The one who wishes to climb the [spiritual] ladder,
Can he/she climb without spending effort? [similar to how one spends effort to climb a ladder, one needs to spend effort [to perceive The Meaning] in order to climb the spiritual ladder]
"Light from the moon reflected on the lake,
Human who saw, kept on looking [in a confused manner].
If it is in [on] the lake, it does not give light,
It does not illuminate the earth.
Where could its place be?
When change occurs [i.e. during the day], its shadow does not come to lake."
He said, my Yunus came.
"I am Yunus," I said, I came, I took the moon down to the lake.
I could not take [it] up to the sky, why?
Because there is [only] its shadow on the lake.
My power is not enough for its real one.
My hand does not even reach its shadow.
The one that I see with eye, I show hearts around [it].
If you go to horseshoer, if you let your horse be shoed,
Will it be ready for the race?
If it is God-given share, [then] it will be.
However, you let [it] be shoed anyway,
You let [it] wait like that.
Our word is neither to the one who falls, nor to the one who digs.
When we erase the shadow that the lake gives, [lake==bigots, religious fanatics]
We see the one that is in the sky,
Like that, we find its real one.
Let us say, “Eyvallah,”
Let us give our word to Mevlana.
HE gives sip by sip, in the one whom HE gives, HE sees.
The one who says, "[HE is] In you?", HE resents according to his/her heart.
Do not say, "Does resentment suit HIM?"
HIS resentment suits HIM.
[my word is] To the one who crumbles the [wood] chip saying, "Its place is stove," [crumbling wood chip that is going to burn, is a waste of time/effort, sign of ignorance; we say to such persons]
[my word is] To the one who says, "I rip off the patch, I walk around without patch."
Do not say, "Who says [that]?", do not seek [him/her] among you.
[we say about] Whoever thinks like that.
If you wished for HIS heaven, make your heart prosperous,
Because heaven is in you.
If you are scared of hell,
Let you know HIS Giving,
Let you say, “From my Allah,”
Let you erase hell from your heart.
Whose is the longing? Of course HIS. [Whom does he/she long for? Of course for HIM.]
Whose is the meydan? Of course yours.
HE gives in [a] countless manner, he/she takes in [a] counted manner.
What does HE give in [a] countless manner? HIS attributes.
What does he/she take in [a] counted manner?
One single attribute that you claim the ownership.
When you claim the ownership of only one of HIS countless attributes,
Then you find your place.
If you know to come to your senses, [then] you see the mirror.
Who is the one who knows to love?
The one who attains HIS attribute.
[other examples of the ones who attain HIS attributes:]
The one who knows to be silent is like that too,
As well as the one who erases the fear,
As well as the one who laughs at [who comforts] the poor one,
As well as the one who says, “You are HIM.”
If you do not open your wool ball, if you do not knit, [to wind the wool ball==to take the test in body on earth]
Then neither your coming [to earth] nor your going [to after earth life] has any value.
Let us say, “Ya Allah,” let us tie [finish] our word. [ya=O ...!/Oh ...! (used to show strong emotion, especially exasperation): Ya Rabbi! O Lord!/O my God!]
We already gave “love,” “respect,” “patience.”
He/she goes [on HIS path] as much as he/she respects;
There is HIS human, he/she finds with his/her patience;
There is HIS human, he/she leans on love.
Eyvallah.
