I am Mevlana.
We became mirror, we reflected the face;
The essence of the chat is that.
The one that is chatted about, the one that is being listened to [is] HAK’s word.
“Is it not the one that is known?” is being said. ["is this not already known?" is being said]
Of course it is the one that is known.
However,
If there is no mirror, can you see your face?
[similarly,] Chat is the mirror from human to human too.
You see as you look: [what you see depends on how you look]
With the one who flows, you go [to ocean], [ocean==God]
With the one who burns, you pay [your debt of being human, to HIM]:
When heart burns, you whirl and whirl.
If you say, “What do I seek in [when] whirling?”
You lose your consciousness.
Deer finds when it loves, 'pervane' finds when it flies around [the light]. [pervane=moth that is attracted to light]
“We gave the mirror to hand,” we said,
We told before.

Is there anyone who knows his/her place so that he/she sees the end?
Neither is the beginning held [one does not know the beginning]
Nor is the end known.
It is wished to go to unknown event as ready.
The one who uses smoke as excuse,
The one who wastes his/her time on the [current] day
Is scared of the end.
Let one not say, “I could not take,”
Let one conform to the one that is given from Koran.

Science is necessary not to know but to solve,
However, as much as it is given. [as much as it is allowed by Allah]

The one who says,
“I was known at seven places,
I attended seven chats,”
What fraction of eighteen thousand worlds does he/she know?

To know is
'Not to know,'
Not to see his/her wool ball. [to know is to know that life on this matter world is imaginary, not real] [wool ball==lifetime on earth]

Drunkard is neither you nor me,
Drunkard is the one who looks through the threshold,
Is the one who burns him/herself in him/herself.
After passing the threshold, peace comes into being,
He/she finds him/herself in The Being.

The one who says, “I/me,” resembles the weed of separation that is in vineyard.
It favors itself there,
[however,] Human’s hand separates it from the vineyard.
How bizarre...
The Creator created it in vineyard,
Hand of human uprooted [it] as he/she knows, threw [it] away.
Of course he/she throws…
Why is there no [weed of] separation on the mountain?
Because it can not find any body to wrap.

It is known that herd comes together
At the place where water flows.
Shade is expected from the tree only; [sun==Prophet Mohammad]
“Let there be no smoke, let it not block the sun,” is said;
Our word is that.
Of course, the sun is always the same.

You are from the ones who plant the grapevine,
You are from the ones who plow the soil.
You searched at the passage, you found the meydan.
“Where did the pleading find its place?” is said.
We gave before:
Soil, tree, water:
If you plow, if you water, it is yours.
If you do not take care, it is every passerby’s.
Water, sugar, flour,
What do they give singularly? [what does each one give when it is alone?]
If you mix [them], they become 'helva.' [helva=a sweet prepared with sesame oil, various cereals, and syrup or honey]
Chat is that.
Sugar [is] in me, water [is] in you, flour [is] in the other one [human],
Fire [is] in someone else:
When they all become one, when mixed hand in hand,
It becomes 'helva,' it comes to mouth [as tasty].

Let you, I become [spiritually] mature, let us find in [spiritual] maturity.
“What is ‘let you, I become mature?’” is said.
If I know you,
If I see The Beauty in you,
I get lost in you,
I become “one heart” with love.

The Reality is found in The Whole.
The Essence gives ITself in eye,
Disseminates [ITself] in word,
[IT] Spreads around with love.

When [time] passes by, our question spreads to interpretations.
On the [current] day, connection is set up;
Therefore, our 'helva' is mixed hand in hand.

“What is my duty?” is being said.
To convey hand to hand, [to convey] tongue to ear.

Whatever they say,
Whenever they wish, let them uproot the grapevine.
There is no place for worry: [however, you should not worry:]
Your vineyard does not give way to the one who uproots. [your vineyard does not allow the one who uproots]

The duty of the one
Who takes [our] word [who studies, understands our chats],
Who is spokesperson [who spreads our teachings]
Is not said until going [on HIS path]; 
After going [on HIS path], path is convenient.

Let the one who takes his/her name know that
The one who helps is next to him/her. [the one whose name is remembered goodly on earth, let him/her know that his/her helper is next to him/her]
It is not because of his/her intention
But because he/she erases the silver path. [silver==matter]

Big day is remembered, chats open [chats become clearer].
“What is ‘big day’?” is said.
[it is] The day on which birth and death find [the] end. [there is no more birth and death after ‘big day’]
Why is it called ‘end [last] day’?
Because it is the day on which drops join the ocean. [ocean==God]

The creation:
One talks about [it], increase of manyness is said about. [“human population increased too much” is being said]
Does it fit onto earth? [will earth be able to accommodate so many humans?]
Let us build one building,
Let us put inside countless [number of] ant[s]:
Would there be any doubt saying, “Would the building accommodate [all of them]?”
It takes as many [ants] as you put, yet there would still be [some] space left over.

THE GIVER knows HIS blessing;
HE sends HIS each creation together with his/her/its God-given share.

Camel takes HIS load,
Donkey knows HIS path,
Birds give HIS path,
Sun sees HIS time. [sun==Prophet Mohammad]
Whether you know or not,
The decree of The Writer
Is clearly seen in the universe;
Conform so that you see.

I wished to HAK for pleading,
I searched path from people,
He said, my Yunus entered the word. [my Yunus joined the chat]
“You searched, however, what did you find?” is being said.
If you did not search, could you not find?
Could you not see my essence?
I would of course see my essence,
However,
You would not know me [my essence],
You would not remember saying, “Yunus.”
I wrote my name while promenading,
I scattered seed onto the soil.
Is there anyone who took/takes my place?
Is there anyone who asked/asks about my “post”? [post=the position of sheikh in a dervish order]
Of course there is none.
Because I had neither place nor post;
No leaf wilted in my heart.

Be entrusted to my Allah.
Find in all [humans].
We came, we gave, let us greet.

Goodbye.

I am Mevlana.
If you say, “Where is our place?”
Then you know the question.
Importance of the question [? Importance of your question ?] [? Importance of the issue ?]
Is in knowing the question.
Interpretation is at the place where each human is [spiritually]. [each human interprets according to his/her spiritual place/maturation]
When it is like that, there is no obligation [? difficulty ?] in interpretation.

If you say, “We came, where are we?
We loved these days, WHOM are we in?”
Then you ask about the day on which you exist. [? Then you ask about the day on which you mature [spiritually]. ?]
When you say, “What is the one that was [? is ?] blown?”
Then you return to the assembly of “Bezm-i Ezel.” [Bezm-i Ezel=assembly of past-eternity when Allah created all humans [as spirits]]
WHAT is 'HE and The One who is from HIM'?
HE: HE is The Creator,
The One who is from HIM: [he/she is] The One who is created.
Coming [to earth] means
Not staying away from being with HIM. [coming to earth does not mean that you are away from HIM]
As it is said,
Each human interprets the place where he/she is.
If you say, "I am HIM," stay away from doubt. [if you say "I am HIM," then you say the truth, do not have any doubt about what you say:]
What is meant when HE says, “I am closer to you than your jagular vein,” [In Koran, in which Allah talks directly to humans, HE says, “WE are closer to him/her than his/her jagular vein.” - Qaf (50th) sura; verse 16]
Is: “I AM in You.”

'Individual will power' is such that
Your can see neither your farawayness from,
Nor your closeness to your perception of HIM.
HE is at the same closeness to every human,
In other words, HE is in each human.
However, body’s solution shows one’s [? your ?] [? HIS ?] place. [spirit is rewarded spiritual degree according to how much one realized The Reality while he/she was in body on earth]
My word is open [what I say is clear], we gave before:
We said that the spirits that come to earth are
The spirits that were previously asleep.
'Individual will power' [is] in body;
The one that is in body is the one that gives the path of the body.
WHAT gives the "total [as opposite to 'individual'] will power" to spirit?
There is no mistake.
HE writes without mistake, HE sieves sip by sip.
HE knows each one that will happen
Because HE is The One Who writes.
When it [spirit] comes to body,
When it enters earth,
It opens [blossoms] like in the example of garden.

What is the one that is known?
Not "coming into being of the spirit;"
Not “breath” at all [either]. [breath==THE ONE THAT ALLAH blew from HIMSELF into human, i.e. human's spirit]
The one that is constituted is the energy that comes into being. [? The One That exists, the one that is constituted is energy. ?]
IT is such an energy that
ITS source is ITSELF as well as the transmitter [is ITSELF].
IT will never be exhausted,  IT will never diminish.
In each human who is soft, abundance of energy is seen,
Why?
What is being said is not game but reality.
The one who perceives the energy in him/herself
Resembles the one who takes sound from “ney.” [ney=nay, a reed flute (often used to play Mevlevi music)]

Let us give the interpretation of the chat with [an] example,
Let us give [example] from the state [situation] of horses:
The ones who take care of well-behaved horse are many,
Why?
Because it is loved.
Misbehaved horse uses its energy up with its body
[it wastes its energy] At [a] place where it should not be, without accomplishing [a useful] service.
Is there no energy in well-behaved horse?
Of course there is.
However,
[it uses it] At the place where it is necessary, at the time when it is necessary.
Human’s giving is the same too.
However,
His/her individual will power:
With education, it is necessary that he/she uses it appropriately, on HIS path.
Very enthusiastic human:
It is very inappropriate that
He/she says his/her deep love by shouting loudly.
For that reason, dancing [whirling] is nice:
You take and give The Energy
By being in the same state [by being one/the same] as HIM,
By being filled with HIM again,
Because IT is the best contagious [Energy].
Eyvallah.
The Energy That we talk about:
Because when IT happens like that, when [if] one stays naked,
One can never endure:
You [would] melt in moment.

Let us go back to What HE blew:
The bowl that you put on the stove,
The water that is in [it], evaporates.
However,
Similar to how it burns if its fire is too much,
Human is like that too.
The One Who comes from HIM, The One Who will return to HIM is HIM of course.
Yet
Hal of earth is from HIM [too].
When one takes one glass [of water] from the sea,
Each attribute that the sea has, exists in that water [that is in glass].
However,
One glass [of water] can never do
What the sea nourishes, what the sea decorates.

“Which one is beautiful, the earth or the summit?” we said, we gave before.
It was given [before] that the water that you take from the sea is the same.
"ITS strength is never reached," was said.
However, we say about the glass of water that you take [from the sea]:
Neither does it give wave again
Nor [does it have] separate [different] might.
What[ever] there is when you take [the water from the sea], [only] that is seen
Until the return to sea. [until it goes back to sea]
We gave in the past,
“Leaf does not fall [without HIS consent],” we said.

The one that is nonexistent is not remembered,
The one that is existent is not denied.
We gave [before], HE exists in every human.
As much as you can perceive,
You use your individual will power;
That is your humanity.
Of course the spirit is from HIM,
On its own hal, it knows HIM.
[however,]
Body dies before dying only
When one can perceive [HIM]…
Eyvallah.

My Yunus says:
My total will power aches for,
My individual will power seeks while running around.
Both of them are present only at the perception, [both of them reunite only when The Reality is perceived]
Body and spirit are reunited only then.

“Take the mirror in your hand,” we said,
We told you to find yourself.
Our word is not for a group [of people] but for all [humans].
Mirror
Makes spirit and body [become] one,
Makes the one who sees become pir.

The one who is earth’s, is human:
Him/her finding oneness, [human finds oneness thanks to] HIS giving.
Whoever looks, wherever he/she looks from,
It is HIS showing like [in the way] he/she looks. [HE shows him/her what he/she wants to see]
You can correct your mistake
Only when you look in the mirror.
You see The Reality
When you compare the past day
To the day on which you mature [spiritually].
Of course he/she does see.
He/she wishes, HE makes one wish
To return to his/her Original,
[he/she wishes] To burn [him/herself], to ignite [others],
[he/she wishes] To be one with each drop and
To return to The Place Where he/she came from.
HE makes [him/her] wish.
Of course. Eyvallah
HE takes you to the mirror;
What HE does is that much.

If you say, “Is the one who is washed and the one who washes the same?”
Then you know your place.
If you say, “What is my place, where is it?”
Then you turn your back to the mirror.
If you discuss about the word of the one
Who says, “I washed,” and the one
Who says, “I am washed,”
Then you fall in judgment of word.
The one who says, “I washed,” is the one who [? The One Who ?] gives.
The one who says, “I am washed,” is the one who takes.
Let the one who wishes, say, “I took,”
Let the one who wishes, know that HE gives. [? Let the one who wishes know What HE gives. ?]
Let each human turn to him/herself,
Let him/her find HIM in him/herself.

Be entrusted to my Allah.

I am Mevlana.
To the new one, to the old one, let greeting be to all [humans].
[the new one==ONEness of HEARTs; the old one==old spiritual beliefs]

My coming is to birth from earth until to sky;
My vision is to arrival from heart by loving.
We said, “Life,” we found Darling,
We came together with Darling.
We came, we joined one another,
You and us, we became united.
Greeting [is] from us [to you], we took [greeting] from you.
When word and essence become one, salvation is found;
It is not finding but [spiritual] maturation.

“What is 'notch'?” is said, it is asked about “passing.”
Notch is not the door of both worlds.
It is the point of passage of human.
It is of course not from world to world
[but] Stage [spiritual degree].

[one comes to earth] To take, [one comes to earth] to give;
Coming to earth is to see, [vision==to see HIM in HIS creations]
He said, my Yunus came.
[me] Being Yunus is not because of me being remembered,
But because of the notch that I opened, that I passed.
I sought grape in vineyard,
I scanned the mountain with my eye;
I found the one who said word, on HIS path.
I wished for my hand to his/her hand.
“Let you take from the word, let you know from the display,” he said, [display=display of The Creator, i.e. everything that is visible to human’s eye]
He gave to be given. [he gave generously and for me to share what he gives with other humans…]
To the one who asked for intention,
He said:
You [will] take on the path,
You [will] find your place when you come.
You [will] see yourself as conforming to The Reality.

The one who wished, started to talk in the direction that he/she wished,
He/she interpreted according to him/herself.
We gave before,
No mistake occurs in interpretation,
Only the view is at [a] different place. [only the angle of view is different]
Is every side of the tree one [the same]?
The one who looks from east tells [about it] differently,
The one who looks from west [tells about it] differently;
Because he/she sees from that direction.
If you say, “Do we always go to east,
Do we see from there?”
“Look from where you are,” I say.
If you walk around [it], if look from every direction,
Then you describe the whole tree of course.
Why is it said, “Promenade! See!”?
Because one finds The Whole of The Beauty, that is why.
Art occurs more in hand,
Literature [occurs more] in tongue [language],
Deep love [occurs more] in heart.
If you say, “Let me see every direction,
Let me build my lifetime like that,”
Then you find the new one in yourself. [the new one==ONEness of HEARTs’ teachings]

If I am in the one that blows, if you are in the one that promenades,
Meeting becomes true.
“What does it mean?” is said.
What is the one that blows?
The image of the one that blows is in the motion of the leaf.
What is the one that promenades? The one who searches.
The one who searches, of course he/she finds, meeting becomes true. [the one who searches The Meaning, comes into the shade of our tree…]

Let one not think that the one who says,
“Let me wear patched [cloth],
Let me eat onion [as] morsel,”
Erases the earth.

The one who knows his/her God-given share
Is the one who sees what happens as it is. [is the one who conforms to events without complaint]

If you wish from heart,
Share in accordance with your wish.
[? Share in accordance with his/her wish. ?]
[? Share when you wish. ?]
[? Share when he/she wishes. ?]

The one who is administrator
Does not give pain through word, to the one who conforms to his/her command, [does not break the heart of his/her subordinate, with words]
Does not hanker for what he/she gives to his/her hand.

Do not consider “to take” in the sense of “eating.”
It is in the sense of “expansion,” not “eating.” [when we talk about “taking,” [“giving”] we do not mean about matter, we mean about The Meaning…]

Let us give the [answer to the] question, let us say what is meant by,
“Let one be peeled.”
Let one be peeled from the one that passed, let one spread the one that he/she takes.
What is meant by, “Let him/her peel [his/her body],”
Let him/her return to The Essence in what he/she knows.
“Like in the example of love-crazy,” we said, we gave before.

“Give from your day,
Tell [us] about your lifetime,” is being said.
Does the hal of the one who stops conform to the [hal of the] one who whirls?
Does the one who whirls hear anyone other than HIM?
Neither the narrowness of earth nor the hal of human
Gives place to conformation. [narrowness of earth, the state of human [in body] does not allow human to conform to events]
“Is earth narrow?” is said.
It [earth] is seen like that [as narrow] from the hal of human [who is in body on earth].
If you know the earth [without knowing The Meaning], then it is narrow.
If you return to yourself, it is benefit.
Of course coming to earth [is] benefit:
You! You became yourself.
You! You found HIM in yourself.
You! You erased yourself in HIM.
You! You found me in HIM.
Therefore, earth is endless for the one who knows [The Meaning].

It is known that what is being talked about does conform to the reality.
“What is being talked about?” is said.
The subject of the day: irrelevant worry of human.
The one that happens is the one that is written.
My Yunus says:
If events did not happen, human would not find him/herself.
The sea is totally flat [calm];
Is it ever known that it was seen that it stayed like that?
Of course there will be wave,
Its water will come [as] upside down
[so that] Its dirt will be cleaned,
It will be prepared for HIS human.
What [a] happiness for the one who knows his/her humanity,
What [a] happiness for the one who says, “Thank YOU my Allah,”
What [a] happiness for the one who acts as HIS human.

My coming, my giving, my meeting with Shems:
“The one whom I love,” I said, I solved love in him.
It is [a] known fact that I also saw in him that
The love, in which I thought that I found all that I looked for, turned into deep love. [thanks to him my love turned into deep love]
[spiritual] Maturation is “filling of my heart.” [filling of my heart with deep love for HIM]
The One Who is remembered is HIM only.
It is known that love starts in human,
Turns into deep love.
What is not known is its ground and its time. [what is not known is where/how and when it happens]
Human who does not know the path that he/she will cross
Falls in interpretation only.
“Is there [any] human who knows?” is being said.
Of course not.
There is only the one who asks and the one who waits.
What do you take if you ask?
Whether you ask or not,
You only see what you expect, on the day when it happens.

Let greeting be to all of you.
To the one who says, “Path,”
“Let my Allah open [your/HIS path],” I say.

Say to the one who says, “Youth”:
Youth [is like] flower, oldness [is like] fruit.
Which one is the one that is not beautiful?
Each existing one is of course beautiful [? Each one who matures [spiritually] is of course beautiful ?]
Because The One Who traces, knows.

Be entrusted to my Allah.
Know each hal as beautiful.
Do never complain about age or maturity.
Similar to how we know Friday,
[and] How true is the fact that we are together,
What you call “Our Meeting” is that much true too.

Be entrusted to my Allah,
Leave all humans as being entrusted to HIM.

10 December 1975

I am Mevlana.
Together with my Yunus, we came.
We are pleased with the chat.
We found the vision of the one who says, “Beauty,”
In Beauty.
Let greeting be to you.

The other [part] of the day is the path,
Is the hal that the path opens.
“What is it?” is being said.
What is wished for is the path of HAK.
We gave that, the notch opened.
What is consulted about, is taken,
What comes from HAK, is known.

Weed is plucked by lamb.
If you say, “Let me get [harvest] wheat,
Your soil is spaded, its stone is sieved,
Your vineyard becomes garden, gets roses.
When rose is in hand [? in human ?], [when] deep love [is] in heart,
Each event is solved not with sorrow
But with patience.

One lassoes what he/she searches.

Whatever it is, do not avoid the reality.
Whatever they say, do not take offense.
The One Who writes, knows.
One does not ask the place of the one who knows, to the one who does not know.

As long as there is no sugar, no helva is mixed. [helva=a sweet prepared in many varieties with sesame oil]
As long as four walls are not built, its roof is not set up.

The path of the one who says, “My Allah,” does not stay at stony place.

If you see smoke in event, plead [with HIM]
According to your heart, as much as your tongue can express.
Do not put curtain in your between. [do not put curtain between HIM and yourself]

Do not spread the one that gives smoke to your heart.

Let you know that you take from the place where the water flows;
Let you fill your jug as much as it takes.

Neither stone, nor soil,
Nor tree, nor leave
Is without OWNER,
Let alone HIS human…

One does not arrive at HIM without HIM;
In HIM, one does not stay without HIM.

Let what you give, be from what you take.

Let rose garden be set up in your heart.
The place where the rose is, smells like spring,
Let the hearts be filled [with that smell].

Beauties are known to be loved.
The giving of the universe
Equals to the love of the human.

Let there be no separation,
Let neither wealthy nor poor stay on HIS earth. [let them not fall in love with earth/matter]
Let even sparrow take its place in the window,
Let it see itself in the [reflection from the] window.

“Is the measure of pleading  in accordance
With one’s place, [in accordance with] one’s giving?” is being said.
Pleading is until the place where it gives you peace,
Not at the place where you wish for source.
It is at the place where you find.

Hill is difficult to climb, easy to go down.
However,
The view while climbing is more beautiful than [the view while] going down.

If they say,
“Is the one who takes from the mountain equivalent
Of the one who finds from the vineyard?”
Then say:
The one who takes from the mountain is the one who wears out light [not heavy] shoe,
He/she is the one who sees then knows.
The one who takes from the vineyard is the one who conforms to what happens, [? The one who takes from the vineyard is the one who conforms to the one who matures [spiritually], ?]
Is the one who gives his/her labor to HIS vineyard.
If you say, “Which one is the one that is beautiful?”
There is no measure of the one who finds.

Ensign belongs
Not to the one who holds [it] in hand
But to the one who says, “My ensign!”
To the one who does not let [anyone] trespass upon its shadow.

“Let my direction be to YOU, my Allah,” I said.
There is no place for worry.
I took what is presented from soft path.
Our chat became from the one that is not thrown to [trash] basket. [our chats are not thrown away]
Every human takes as he/she wishes.
Wideness is on path, amazement [is] in human.

My Yunus says:
If you look from foot to head,
You think, “I came from earth.”
If you look from head to foot,
You think, “I came down from sky.”
Then where did I come from?
You know: my coming [is] neither from earth nor from sky
But only from HAK,
From The One Who says, ‘BE!’
From The One Who gave my notebook to my hand.

The one who is consulted with, is on HIS path.
