5 January 1974

I am Mevlana.
We came together with believer humans
In heart through paths.
There was no day on which we had no heart-to-heart talk.
To each human who said, “I came,”
We said, “We were with you.”
You, do not separate from You,
You, do not get free of You.
You are in HIM,
Me, [I am] in you together with HIM.

Each circle gets separated at the node [at the nodal point];
When its two ends come together, it becomes one single circle,
What is called chain, is that.

Let us say, “Eyvallah,” to all of you.
Let us give the good news about
The unity on the day of good deed with The One Whom they remember.
If you say, “Who is the one whom we remember?”
Didn’t you say, “Good deed day,” didn’t you plead?
Who is The One That is in oath?
The One Whom you seek in pleading, The One Whom you take sip by sip…

What is “wish”? The one for which you wish for HIS help.
There is no need for you to wish for HIS help:
Is HE not with you, is HE not The One Who gives you?
If you say, “HE does not give,” [then] look over yourself.

If you seek in assembly, have your eye on all [humans, not just a group of people] [if you seek in assembly, look at all humans, not just a group of people].
If you seek in skin [skin color], have your eye in the mirror [look in the mirror]. [do not discriminate humans based on the skin color; look in the mirror, see that you have a skin color too; in the mirror see HIM in every human...]

The One Who gives life to leaf, does HE not give blood to soil? [i.e. to body]

Ladder is used up by climbing and climbing.
For descent, there is no need for any ladder
Because human’s power is not consumed because of descent.

I had given before that the earth structure
Is the shadow of the after earth life.

Let us say that it is necessary that the climbing occurs step by step
Because each step's service is different.
Each step that is taken, takes you according to its direction.
First plead for HIS direction,
Then refer [transfer/submit] to my Allah.
[if you do not refer to my Allah, you may find yourself in desert, and]
If you wait for help from sand,
Then you may have to confront [a sand] storm head on.
At that time, sand would have no service to you.
[let alone the service, it may even harm you:]
When one is caught in storm in desert,
Do you know what the precaution is?
To turn to the direction to which the storm blows, [and] to squat down.
You turn your back to the one that comes. [your back should face the coming wind of the storm]
Because your face will always be with the one that goes [away from you].
The precaution that you take is for it [the storm] not to give you any defect.
If you say, “How?”
You can barely protect your eye, your mouth, your nose.

Let us give the performance of “namaz.” [namaz=worship while prostrating; namaz==physical worship]
When your "wish for The Meaning” comes true,
You become existent in worship according to your heart. [you become existent by worshipping from heart]
How do you pay the debt of body with existence of heart?
My Allah’s order [command] is human’s debt.
You can not pay for the sugar that you took, with rice.
The one who wishes, pays his/her debt,
The one who does not pay, goes [to after earth life] as debtor.
Neither you nor I can say about HIS calculation.

Is the rain that falls yours?
Are the waters that flow mine?
In all is HIM, all are in HIM.

We came as guest, we ate, we drank, we laughed.
“HE did not give,” we said, we cried.
We conformed to earth with every hal.
If you know The One That exists and you do not conform to what HE gives, fault is in whom? [whose fault is it?]

Is the day’s interpretation your standard [of value]?
If you say, “Let there be my place [in after earth life], let me go [to after earth life], let me find my rank,”
Let your love be as abundant as your worship.
Let The Meaning laugh [smile] at you with your love.

Why is interpretation made?
When you come to [a] four-way junction,
Saying, “Which way do I go in order to arrive faster?”
Not saying, “Which one is more beautiful?”
Without eating you are not full.
Without drinking you are not satiated.
Without stopping, you do not stay. [if you continue your walk, you reach the destination]
In going, finding is only ONE.
Four-way [junction] that you did not separate from heart,
That you say, “From where do I arrive?” [which one of the paths do I choose in order to arrive in HIM?]
Do not forget: all of them arrive. [all paths arrive in HIM sooner or later [i.e. some paths may take longer...]]
Arrival is yours, the one who illuminates HIS path is your pir.

Fall in love with Life, not with reputation.
See The Beautiful One not on skin, but in Essence.
The essence is The Essence
That shows Itself to the one who knows,
That is erased from the one who does not know.
Let my Allah make all [humans] be among the ones who know,
Let HIM keep [him/her] as one with the one who knows,
Let HIM make the one who does not know, find.
We glanced at the place of the one who knows, whom [? WHOM ?] did we find there?
The one who knows is human, the one who divides [discriminates] is human too.
HE is The Creator of the one who knows as well as of the one who divides.
If what is known by the one who does not know, is because of his/her fault,
Let him/her find him/herself thanks to HIS pardon, [let him/her beg HIS pardon]
Let him/her be one with the one who knows him/herself.

The one whom HE gives silver, what does HE give with? [silver==matter; gold==spiritual meaning]
With it being matter. [with matter]
However, neither does it stay with you, nor does it stay with the one who comes after you.
Therefore, what exalts you is the one that can come with you.

We took from green, we have spread our heart.
We asked [about] each event,
We looked for the unasked question, in hearts.
What is the unasked question?
What am I in [this] moment?
If each human knew his/her hal in moment,
He/she would stay away from the one that is doubtful.

I am Mevlana.
It is seen appropriately, it is given to earth [accordingly].
With seeing eye, one says, “Eyvallah," for each one that happens.

If you seek its [universe’s] pole, it is endless. [? If you seek your pole, it is endless. ?]
If you seek your contribution, it is irrelevant.
If you say, “Why?”
Because contribution is not from you, but from HIM.
The One Who throws as well as The One Who adds, is HIM.

Let human open his/her intention with contentment,
Let him/her choose his/her ego with trump.
The one who is faithful knows:
Ego bends human with trump,
Heart defeats the ego with contentment. [if heart is already content, ego’s trump does not become useful…]

In the beautiful one of temperament, the flow of the water is seen,
“Events are the writing [==destiny],” is said, they are waited for.

If you say, “Order [orderliness] is corrupt, someone to find [to set up] the order is necessary,”
It is also necessary someone to roll up the one who disrupts the order.

As long as the bird is in the nest, it owns its baby;
Once it flies away from the nest, the baby is universe’s property.

To the one who seeks support for fighting,
To the one who says, "He/she disrupted the order":
What is meant by “fighting” is not “beating,” but dispersal.
Didn’t I tell the one who was saying, “The order is corrupt.”

If you seek [a] sky without smoke, climb above the cloud.
Then you will see, you will untie the knot.

What does one seek on earth that spins in the name of HAK?
You can not stop the earth,
You can not say, “You stop, I spin.”
You can not put 'the going' in template. [the going==events]
For that [reason], see the one that happens, as it is;
[however,] Do not say, “The one who does not see [is] blind.” [however, do not blame the ones who do not see as you do...]

If you say, “We are left without Owner,”
Did The Creator get out of your heart?
What my Allah wrote/writes, will happen.
If you say, “Open so that I see, [so that] I glance at the one that will happen,”
I told before, climb above the cloud and see.

If Yunus found sound in reed flute,
Yunus would not look for his heart,
Would not have said, “[HIS] Path,” and would not have set off [on the journey].
What Yunus sought, is of course his own heart.
[however,] He thought, "I sought/seek my Allah."
Was my Allah not [already] with him in every moment?
He kept on seeking, he found at the place where he left. [he found at the place where he started the journey]
For that [reason], you too, expect from The One Who set/sets up the order,
Not from the one who degenerates.

Each event that is hidden, is evidence of crime.
[for that reason,] Stay away from the event that you see as hidden.
If you will not stay away, try to open so that
It does not take you inside too.

The one that is easier than thinking, is referring [to God];
How long ever you think, The One Who will put in order is HAK.
There is no one else to take shelter in, except HIM.
Even the one who is confused is from HIM.
If you go on the path, if you are confused about your path,
Who is your path shower?
Do not think that it is human, HE makes human means. [HE uses human as intermediary]

The one who comes, the one who returns, the one that is given for interpretation
Does not come without reason.
The one who does not eat and the one who eats, are not one.

The one who seeks with love letter in hand [the one who is in deep love with HIM]
Is the one who sits at his/her place.

If you say, “I do not let [HIM] out of sight,” [then you are wrong because Darling is in your heart]
“Did you sit at your place?” I say. [if you did not find Darling in your heart, could you find your place in after earth life...]

The one that mixes with silver,
The one that comes into being with gold
Are different in concrete weight. [silver==matter; gold==spiritual meaning]

With pleading you find the one that will happen. [? With pleading you find the one who will mature. [with pleading you find spiritual maturity] ?]
With greed you get away from the one that will happen. [? With greed you get away from the one who will mature. [With greed you get away from spiritual maturity.] ?]
In reality, the one that will happen, happens whatever you say,
[however,] Your vision misleads you.

Do not put saddle on colt so that it does not become rebellious,
So that it does not hit the one who goes next to it.
The method of the colt that is fed with sugar
Is in the moment when he/she hangs the bag around its neck.
My word takes its place with every hal.
If you present sugar to the judge,
What you will get is sweet word.

My Yunus says:
If you prepare yourself
To know the soft path,
To educate yourself,
Your helper is next to you in moment.
I said to each one who takes,
To the one who comes [on HIS path] and the one who laughs.

Be entrusted to my Allah,
Stay away from worries.

I am Mevlana.
We took with peace, we found in hearts.
We separated the one who is close friend from the one who is not.
There is no mistake.
If you say, “Is there any one who is close friend and the one who is not?”
Of course not.
However, when it is said, “There is; there is not,” one falls in detail,
One sees the value of being 'close friend.'

'Coming into being' is in word,
Vision is in eye,
Hearing [feeling] is in essence.
When Darling is said, The Creator is known.
When “wrap [embrace]” is said, The One Who looks after is seen.
Is Darling and The One Who wraps different?
Hearts are all ONE, there is none that discriminates
Even if word is different.

What is the essence of the chat?
The word of each human who thinks separately, who moves collectively
[his/her word] Is wrapped in bundle,
When its day comes, it makes the word find its [? HIS ?] essence.
If it does not disperse, it is not gathered.
The one whose eye sees, does not seek the essence:
He/she knows that he/she is in The Essence,
He/she calls the one who does not know.
If you say,
“Is it appropriate to go to each one who calls?”
You take [hear] the voice of the one who comes closer to heart.

When it is said, “Do not take your eyes off,”
It does not mean, “Look after.”
It means, “Take a glance at.”
Because The One Who looks after [is] HIM.
If you say, “Let me see,” [then] think of the ones that you will erase.
If you say, “Where does my path start, where does it go?”
Then you ask [about] your place [in after earth life] in the moment that you mature [spiritually],
Then you are born again with one's every hal.

What is meant by “coming” is “taking a glance at earth.”
Otherwise, your birth
Is not different than the coming of
The 'meczup' who burns his/her heart. [meczup=in Sufism, dervish who has been completely carried away by a mystical experience]

The one who wishes for 'meyhane' is the one who seeks the beautiful one of the chat. [meyhane=bar/restaurant like public place in 14th century where wine was served]
If you say, “Is the chat only in meyhane?”
If you seek HIS place, even to wander around
Makes your heart drunk.
However, you can not find The One Whom you seek in yourself.
You learn about the beauty of the food that you cook from the one who eats [it].
You see the beauty of the day
Only if you open your window.
And you find the mature one of the chat
At HIS table. [table that is set up in HIS name]
Do not say, “Whom do I learn from?”
Day comes, even ant gives one drop of HIS chat to you.
The one who does not eat, does not know, does not reach its taste.
Even the one who does not sit at the table, does not stay as deprived:
[even] If he/she does not say [anything at the table], he/she hears,
If he/she does not hear, he/she conforms,
If he/she does not conform, he/she seeks.
[however, we,]
Let us wish to eat.
Even if we do not eat, let us present to the one who wishes.
My Allah decorated the universe with so much of HIS blessings;
Did HE say, “Let the one who loves, eat,
Let the one who does not love, stay as hungry”?
The one who loves, [and] the one who does not love separate themselves. [they do so on their own]
If human separates, which word is left to HAK?

What is the specialty of [electric] current?
The one that two opposites give when they become one.
We said, “Two opposites,” [however,] did we see any harm to one another?
Never.
If the wall is not demolished, would the new one be built at its place?
If “ugly” is not said, would the beautiful one be seen?
Beauty is present everywhere, in every thing,
However,
Human’s vision separates, when he/she separates, he/she finds the right [correct] one.
When he/she finds the right one, he/she is ashamed that he/she separated.
Therefore, we will first separate, comb out,
We nourish our day like that.

The one whom you do not defeat is not because of you,
The one whom you can not defeat is not because of HIM.
If you say, “To defeat is separate, to be defeated is different,”
Then you are mistaken.
If you hit the tree with ax, it falls over;
Do you become as if you have defeated [it]?
How about if the tree falls over you,
Do you become as being defeated?

We wished to present, “Permission my Allah,” we said.
We came, we found the hearts as all one.
Even if words do not conform, let us say, “Ya Allah,”
Let us also make the word one.

When 'bunch' is said, connection is set up; one finds in ONE.

If you say, “Let it be wide, let meydan fit [all humans]”
Meydan is the cradle of the universe, [it] is the threshold of the door of HAK.

Do not say, “HE separates,” do not leave your own hearts as separated.
Because:
HE does not separate,
HE does not send the one who separates,
HE does not let the one who separates, find.
[however,] Let it not be said, “If there is any one who separates, HE does not let him/her mature [spiritually].”
Each fruit will ripen;
If it stayed underneath the leaf, it will wait for its time. [if it could not get enough sunlight to ripen, it will ripen late/later]
However,
Sooner or later it comes into being, each seed comes together in The Reality.

If they say, “Heaven is yours,”
Say, “Hell is mine too.”
If they say, “Why?”
Say,
“If HE set [it] up for me, I can not deny [it].
If I know The Beautiful One, I can not say, 'Ugly,' for HIS hell.
The hell that is from HIM, is also the beautiful one of the beautiful.”

Praise your opponent saying that he/she is more powerful than you are.

If the one that the smoke gives, covers you,
Think of the necessity of the chimney.
If you do not take your eyes off it, think about what your heart takes [as load].

What is given to all of you, is not from you, [is not] from me,
But from HIM.
When it is said, “Let us make HIS place be found, let us distribute to all [humans],”
Why is the hesitation?
'To hope' is beautiful, even if it does not happen, [? 'To hope' is beautiful, even if he/she is not mature [spiritually], ?]
'To find' is beautiful, even if HE does not give.

The One Who exists is HIM,
The one who will conform to The One Who exists, [is] you.
You are you only with body.
After erasing the body, you are the one who joins The Existing One [=The Being].
The Being erases the narrowness.
Narrowness is not because of what he/she knows; [narrowness is because he/she does not know The Reality]
Narrowness is for the one who sleeps.
[Previous verses may be better understood under the light of the following information: body on earth is in a cage that prevents human soul to see The Reality. He/she is in narrowness, i.e. restricted by the matter environment. This is similar to being asleep within The Reality. He/she learns about The Reality at the moment in which he/she migrates to after earth life. However, to know The Reality while in body is the most preferred...]


The One Who orders [Who gives command], is HAK,
The one who is ordered, is the people.
