17 August 1973

I am Mevlana.
We conformed to good deed day, we said, “Allah,” we heard.
Eyvallah for each one that YOU gave/give,
Eyvallah for seeing the hearts.
Let greeting be to all of you.
Let each one who wishes, find,
Let him/her take the mirror in hand,
Let him/her see the universe on [its] bright face,
Let him/her say, “I am there too.”

The one who uses force, does not find salvation because of his/her force;
[not only] He/she does not know the salvation him/herself,
[but also] He/she does not ask anybody about its [salvation’s] place. [? He/she does not ask anybody about his/her [own] place ?]
Whatever he/she searches for his/her record [book], he/she does not find. [the one who is cruel can not find any good deed to be recorded in his/her record book in which sins and good deeds are recorded]

You can not find the art of the sample that you did not take. [if you do not have the sample, you can not find an art work based on the sample]
Even if you take the carved design in your hand, you can not chisel.

The one that you gave to his/her suffering,
The one that you said about, "With my cruelty,"
Resembles the book that you read without opening.

Heart is not opened to human’s eye.
Microbe is not scattered in human's essence.

The one that is erased from the eye, is found thanks to the essence:
Human's deep love is read there.

We walked around with top boot, we solved by loving.
We saw, we knew, we loved.

Let it not be said,
"He/she goes as much as he/she endures,
He/she solves at the place where he/she stops.”
[Don't say, "Let him/her take care of earthly matters as much as he/she can endure, when he/she is tired/old, he/she will solve the mystery of after earth life then.] [the most preferred is to know The Meaning while in body, on earth]

You say about the fruit,
“Let it not be unripe, let it not give acrid taste,”
You do not eat.
If you say, “How do you bear with the unripe one of human?”
Human takes his/her measure thanks to human.

The place of the interrogation stays in tongue. [he/she will be asked about the hearts that he/she broke during the interrogation that takes place at the migration time [migration to after earth life]]

The pleading that is made has no place in the measure
Because it does not fit into measures. [sincere pleadings with God are very, very important...]

The loss [harm] of the anger that you do not overcome, is to yourself.
The benefit of the anger that you overcome, is to yourself too.

You set up the table, you grab your food, you taste its salt;
“What a pity,” you say, you throw [it] away, [because] its was too salty,
It spoiled the taste of the food.
If you look for the faulty one,
Then you fall in fault yourself too.
If you say, “Why?”
Skill can not get out of knowledge [science]. [skill can not do/survive without knowledge]
Human can not pour his/her problem to [another] human.
If you built strong wall for the well, it does not collapse;
If your wall is not strong, salt becomes cause, it collapses.

If human does not say, "Eyvallah," for each one that happens,
He/she passes through [other] nasty means. [if human does not know to be content with God-given share, God teaches him/her by means of other lessons...]
The head that you do not bend down, is not from HIM.
The knee that you do not bend, is not from HIM.
The one who withholds his/her greeting from HIS human, is not from HIM.

The one who says, “Let me set up my throne, let me put my crown on,”
If he/she performs his/her service saying, "To HIM," [if he/she performs his/her service in HIS name]
[then] His/her crown-his/her throne are everlasting.

Let me give my word, let me transfer to my Yunus,
Let one find in generosity,
[let] Word [find] in tongue,
[let] All [humans] [find] in heart.
Let one stay in the shade of the tree of which the leaves did not fall.
Let one dive into salvation in the name of Meryem [Virgin Mary].
Let one call for his/her help,
Let one wish for the service
Of the saints who have no crown,
Of the wises who have no throne.
Let one wander around the ocean saying, “One drop of water.” [ocean==God]
Let him/her see coral reef, let him/her ask for the meydan.
Let it be as you consult.

Do not fall in worry for the load that you did not load up.
Do not say, “Will it[/he/she] collapse [under the load]?”
The one who is faithful knows:
The one who arrives at the battle field, is ready for the war.

My Yunus entered the word,
Asked Mevlana for permission.
Permission came from The Lofty One.
Do not say,
“We could not reach the end of the path,
We could not know what the day was bringing.”
The one that comes as well as the one that goes as well as the one that will be gone to are evident.
Determined day’s writing is given; [determined day==according to context, it is either the migration day, or the doomsday]
Its worry is seen in each human.
If The One Who gives is HIM, why is the worry?
If you do not take from The Giving,
What do you expect from the display?
If you stay away from worry,
You find your [? HIS ?] place.

What did you spade your life with?
What did you plant in the soil and [what did you] expect?
What did you turn your direction with?
How did you return from the center?
Let it not be misunderstood, my word is for all [humans],
Not for the congregation [only].
In the soil that you touched, you find what you planted,
[however,] You take as much as your God-given share is.

If guest comes, what is it the one that you will give?
Even if it is one morsel of bread,
If he/she takes [it] with [your] smiling face, it comes [as being] sweeter than honey.

Make the cushion, shield for your knee,
[make] The helmet [shield] for your eye;
However, do not block the sight, the position.

If you say about the love letter, “Let it reach its destination”:
Do not transmit [send] [it] from hand to hand;
Take with your foot, give with your hand.

The one who does not climb the minaret, can not make any call to prayer.
The one who does not call to prayer, is not called muezzin.

The one who does not know the earth can not be called traveler.
One can not say to the one who does not ask [about] the center,
“You are at your place.”

Before covering the roof, you can not finish the building,
You can not sit inside.
Before entering HIS Science, you can not say, “I am on HIS path.”
If you say, “What is HIS Science?”
[HIS Science is:]
That you find HIM,
That you know the one that/who is from HIM,
That you conform to the one that comes from HIM.
Science is not in book, but in heart.
Only rules of conduct are present in the book.

Dream:
As long as human stays in body,
It is day’s worries.
As much as spirit goes away from the body, it opens curtain by curtain.
Extraordinary dreams come from those curtains.
Its usefulness and harm is in human’s interpretation.

If it was necessary to make the person who is seen [in dream], be known,
It would have been given in the dream.
There is no mistake, the one that is seen is known by us;
However, to stay without question, is more good deed.
It is of course real that dream is seen,
It is known that human says, "Each [one should be] beautiful dream,”
That he/she runs away from scary dream.
Fault is in saying, "Bad," to interpretation. [fault is in interpreting the dream badly]
Since bad does not come from my Allah,
Dream is not interpreted badly either.

Do not say, “Jinns,” each creation is from HIM.

Dream is said to be in two forms:
Devilish-Divine.
The one that is called devilish
Is the one that is seen when the soul stays in body;
In other words, it is randomly, it has no meaning.
Divine [dreams]
Are the dreams that the soul transfers to body
While it separates from the body, while it promenades like that.
Because its contact with the body is not cut.
The moment in which it is cut, it can not come back [to the body].
The soul of the human who is faithful
Rises in accordance with the degree of his/her [spiritual] measure.

I am Mevlana.
Our love is a lot
For the beautiful one of temperament,
For the leaf that is autumn leaf,
For the essence of the heart.
If you say, “Why for the leaf that is autumn leaf?”
Because it nourishes the soil, decorates the tree again…

Let us not pick the fruit that is unripe.

Let us not put step at the door that is closed.

If the ground is stony, let us not lay the pileless carpet.

Let us not consider the one who is cruel and the one who is coy, as one [the same].

Let us not add salt while "ashure" is boiling in the caldron. [ashure (read as ashuree)=pudding made with cereals, sugar, and raisins.]

Salt is necessary for the dough, water [is necessary] for the soil.

If it is said, “Life endures with three existing ones,”
Make three of them one, gather every thing in water.
[the above verses may be better understood under the light of the following information: spiritual maturation occurs in three directions: blood-life-skin. [skin is erased==discrimination based on skin color is erased; blood is erased==discrimination based on blood tie is erased; life: ego is erased; all humans are one]]

If your roof leaks, check the construction.

Paddle is necessary for rowboat,
Not for the car that goes on land.

When you arrive in meydan,
When you ask about HIS human,
There is no one who shows his/her [? HIS ?] place
Because no one knows anybody;
One sees nobody, but him/herself.
One asks the witness who is summoned no question, but his/her vision [WHAT he/she saw].
[analogy with human who migrates to after earth life] [vision==to see HIM in every creation…]


If master of the [spiritual] meaning can say clearly, then he/she is master,
Otherwise he/she is perjurer.
One does not doubt the one who is master.
If you spread ground cloth, one does not look underneath. [if he/she spreads ground cloth on the ground, one does not look underneath]
If the one whom I believe in, cheats me,
No respect for HIS human stays. [one would not respect HIS human]
Respect is for the one who does work in HIS name,
For the one who knows that HIS name is in his/her heart.
If you say, “How do you know the one who knows [that HIS name is] in his/her heart?”
If he/she puts on display in the name of HAK,
If he/she spends [wastes] haphazardly,
[then] “He/she put his/her heart on the display at the market,” I say.
And every human sees what is at the market.

Do not seek narrowness in the assembly.
Do not ask the ignorant one about the point [the dot].
Do not reach decision based on age. [being old does not mean that he/she is spiritually mature...]

Yunus says:
If I find “saz” with four strings, [saz=a stringed instrument (which somewhat resembles a lute)]
If I am a writing that is evident,
If I ask about the one with beautiful face, who speaks with hearts.
If you say, “Who is the beautiful one who speaks with hearts?”
He/she is
The one who can chisel the carved design,
The one who can see The One Who gives,
The one who can love all [humans];
It is not his/her word, but his/her essence.

I planted crop in the soil,
All of you, come and harvest:
Remember HIS name and migrate [to after earth life],
Choose the one that/who exists saying, “Beautiful.”
If you see the one that/who exists as ugly,
“Wash your heart!” I say.
If you say,
“At the place where the water is scarce,
Why is it necessary for human [to wash his/her heart]?”
The one who seeks, finds,
The one who can not find, dies saying and saying, “Allah.”

Is what small mosque gives, not taken from [a regular] mosque? [the place of worship is not important]

Each creation gets its/his/her God-given share according to its/his/her height.
Ant as little as it needs,
Elephant until its stomach is full,
Herd, along the pasture.

The skirt of the mountain is stony;
It is useful to build the wall.

The one who is faithful knows:
Each human’s destiny is written along his/her path.
The one who is mistaken is human,
The One Who writes is not mistaken.
Neither can you change the writing,
Nor can you untie the knot.

As long as the permission does not come, [as long as God does not give permission]
You will see the night.
[however, when the permission is given:]
You will fly to the beauty of the day,
You will watch the stars, the moon,
You will say, "The night became beautiful too." [star==saint; moon==Hazrat Ali; sun==Prophet Mohammad]
[The above verses may be better understood under the light of the following information: during sleep, soul of the human who has permission from Allah meets with other spirits of the same spiritual level, and/or his/her saint. The meeting environment is in LIGHT [i.e. there is no darkness]…]


If you ask the one who is sad about his/her sorrow,
He/she only cries [sheds tear] on the day when he/she says, “Sorrow.”
When that [day] passes, he/she laughs at his/her crying.
Hence, each event is lived in its moment.
Take shelter in my Allah in such a way that
Even if one roasts smoke on your roof,
Even if one throws stone at your head,
Let HIM be Close Friend, let HIM come and protect you.

Be entrusted to my Allah,
Let you know HIM in heart.

19 August 1973

I am Mevlana.
At the place where there is pleading, there is no path for doubt.
The one who pleads [with God], does not say, “What will I be?”
He/she does not submit [him/herself] to the one who is not brave,
In the event, he/she does not stay as sad.

Neither did we say, "Trouble," nor did we worry.
“HAK gave, HE saw the one that is good deed,
The One Who loves me is HIM,
The One Who sees my heart is HIM,” you say,
You lean your back on HIM.

'Choosing the long path' is for HAK.
If you ask [about] the path [that goes] to the giving of the earth:
Be carried away by the flow of the water
Because it takes [you] fast.
If you say, “Let me be carried away by the wind,”
It hits [you] from there to there.

I told before:
Hard walnut is broken difficultly.
However, you do not say,
“I could not break, let me put [it] aside,
Let me wait that it breaks.”
Because
How long ever you let [it] wait,
It does not break on its own.
A means is necessary to break, to find its essence;
And that, human finds [it] him/herself.
If you refrain from breaking one walnut in earth life,
Then when it is necessary to break thousands of walnuts [in after earth life],
You will be bewildered in the universe.
[The above verses may be better understood under the light of the following information: each human takes a test on earth. According to the result of the test, human is granted a spiritual degree at the time of migration to after earth life, and continues his/her spiritual education on another planet corresponding to his/her spiritual level…]
Tooth-almond is broken with tooth,
Stone-almond is broken with stone.
If you try to break the stone-almond with tooth,
[then] You keep on rolling [it from one side to the other] in your mouth.

I am Mevlana.
We drank sip by sip.
We chose our beautiful night.
We tried to conform to each one that HE gave.
We begged pardon for our mistakes.
“Beauty is in each one that YOU gave/give,” we said.
We all found ourselves on the bridge;
Let us pass to the other side, let us not leave hand from hand.
Even if helmet protects, your heart takes wound [is wounded].
Your destiny is written before you come [to earth].
What do you protect from where,
Whom do you get God-given share from,
If The Giver did not/does not write…

You can not bridle the horse that runs.
You can not say, “Stop,” wherever you wish.
When the horse runs, there is a lot of dust,
However, all of them stay behind.
Our regard is not to the one who stays behind, but to the one who goes in front.
We all poured The Meaning into our heart[s].
“Take [us] beyond step by step YARABBI,” we said.
Each time we said [like that], we went [one step farther].
However, we stayed without news of the going. [however, we did not know that we were going ahead step by step]
Is it necessary that we have news? [we do not need to know that we are progressing]
Let there be going, let one arrive in HIM,
As long as one finds HIM at the arrival.

Each handful of rice does not have the same number [of grains];
Yet, its measure is still “one handful.” [yet one still measures rice by using 'handful' as measure...]

When our heart is with HIM,
Then do we not become as rising to heaven?
When heart is tied to heart,
Can someone be found to untie?
In order to say,
“In every moment, I am with my Allah and HIS Representative,”
It is not necessary to be saint.
Yet, to be together
Not with HIS name, but with HIS Being.
To be at the place
Where HE said/says, "Be!,"
Where HE restricts humanity, [i.e. to be in the universe, to be in matter environment]
Is to be with HIM.
If you say, "Is humanity restricted?"
Of course.

Why does the suspect see punishment? [why is the suspect punished?]
He/she either committed [a] crime or set up intention [to commit a crime].
If you say, “The One Who makes commit crime is my Allah,”
Repent because your intention. [human should realize that his/her intention was bad, and he/she should repent]

Do not be sorry for the one that you lose.
Do not be ashamed of your poverty.

Do not fall in the longing for the food that you did not eat [do not long for the food that you did not eat]
So that you do not cross the boundary.
If life [==human] likes [it], is [setting up] the intention [to get and eat it] [a] fault?
Start the war against your ego at that time.
The one that is forbidden, the one that is given in Koran
Should be your light [guide].
If you say, “Does the one that is forbidden, become light?”
Of course it does.
Because human finds the correct one with his/her fault.
If he/she does not fall in fault,
He/she stays unaware of the correct one.
If roads are not muddy,
If its stone, its soil does not disturb human,
Would one put [them] in order?

The one who climbs the mountain seeks flatness,
He/she sees the beauty at flatness.
However, each one has [a] different beauty.

I gave before, “Roses have languages too,” I said.
The community of the rose laughs;
[the community of the tulip] Says oneness of the rose;
[the rose that grows on grave] Hears the one who does not say to the day of the rose. [does not hear about the rose]
I said about the rose garden, the tulip garden,
And the roses that grow on the grave.

Let the paths connect to HIM;
Let one take from HIM, let one give the path.
Let one say to all of you, "Eyvallah."
He gave his good news, “Let it be my present,” he said.
“I am Ali with my greeting, let it be for the one whom I promised,” he said.
I said to the one who sees, who takes his/her good news.
Let you be entrusted to my Allah.
Goodbye.

The greatness of HIS value is in HIS name,
In the remembrance of HIS name.
The remembrance of HIS name is in HIS human’s heart.

The picture that is given, that is presented to HIS humans
Is [a] present for HIS human,
It is beyond the measure of human eye.
It is only given as in the image [as he/she was] on the day he/she lived [on earth].
The moment in which he/she exists, he/she is only LIGHT.
LIGHT does not become image in human’s eye.
If you say,
“Since each existing one is HIM
Is it/he/she not LIGHT?”
[in human’s body:]
Each one that/whom we see as existing, is HIS Shadow.
Human’s body can not endure to see The Real One;
For that [reason], let us be “hal” with our vision. [hal==to find ONEself in water, air, sand, soil, tree, leaf…] [vision==to see HIM in HIS Creations]

Let us not take out air of miracle from each event. [let us not claim that each event is a miracle]
Because if air of miracle is taken out from each event,
Then we become as if we give rank to ourself.
Miracle is as a whole, for each creation.

In being humble, there is respect;
In respect, there is love;
In love, there is HIM.

Let us not be feverish,
Let us not say, “We know,”
Let us not put boundary to knowledge. [let us not restrict the knowledge with boundary]

Let my Allah be pleased with all of you.
We came, we saw, we pleaded.
We said, “Ya Allah,” we found in oneness. [ya=O ...!/Oh ...! (used to show strong emotion, especially exasperation): Ya Rabbi! O Lord!/O my God!]

Goodbye.
