I am Mevlana.
The path of HIS humans
Who do not come [back], who go [forward on HIS path],
Who do not return from [HIS] path,
Who give the difficult part [of the test] on earth, [who pass the difficult part of the test on earth]
Who know that it [earth] is [a] guesthouse,
Is convenient.

Planted tree is not pulled up, if it has fruit.
Tree without fruit is not thrown away, if its shade is big.

We took the fruit from the branch, we knew HIS human from hal.
We found his/her heart in desert, we saw his/her intention [as being] from HAK.
[his/her heart was without spiritual water, but he/she wished for HIS path]
“Do you have any one that you take?” we said.
“I have the one that I will give,” he/she said. [he/she continued:]
The one that I took, I did not give it, I did not pay back my debt.
I wound my wool ball without goal,
I found HAK’s path like that.
The moment in which I found, I solved the difficulty. [he/she said.]
Let one not worry
That he/she wraps the surrounding, that he/she asks about the face;
[one should not worry if he/she likes earth, earthly pleasures]
Let one not doubt
That the one who knows HAK, will come to salvation.

I was not tired  of earth, I did not take offense at my migration [to after earth life]. [I was not tired of earth, at the same time I was not scared of death]
HAK is the path of salvation.
My path is Lofty God’s.

The value of the merchandise that is not shipped, drops.
[if one does not share The Meaning, the value that one has by knowing it, decreases]

The one who wishes to be soft
Refers [transfers/submits] each event to my Allah.

To run like in the example of love-crazed,
To cross over the mountain, over the stone
Is nonsense.
There is no 'finding there.'
[let us say that]
We crossed over the mountain, over the stone;
[similar to] When running waters overflow,
Although it has no harm, it has no benefit either.
When he/she gets tired, then one stops on HIS path,
"Finding" starts at that time.
Is "finding Oneself" not "finding The Lofty One"?
Is there anything else in Yourself other than HIM?

My Yunus says:
The one who wishes for smokeless sky
Is the one who does not want God-given share from HIS rain.
There should be HIS rain so that you find the blessing.

Saints whose names are not known
Are helpers of the spirits who are
Between the earth and the doomsday.
It is not necessary to know them on earth.
The ones who are known on earth
Serve human of earth.

The place of the effort is in the greatness of the help. [the value of the effort depends on the greatness/scope of the help that is presented]
To say, “It is not my temperament,” and turn [his/her] back
Should not be the aim of human.
One should try to conform to the temperament of HAK, in every moment.

When heart ties conform [to one another], path is opened to chat.

The flower that does not open, does not wilt.
If you say, “It wilted,” is it [a] problem?
Its root is ours,
New flowers open.

Traveler  passes through the door,
Caravansary boniface waits for the traveler.
[as the caravansary boniface,]
I asked [the traveler about] his/her room,
“Dark,” he/she said.
I asked [about] his/her neighborhood,
“[there is] Drought,” he/she said.
I asked [about] his/her custom,
“Separateness,” he/she said.
“Close the earth,” I said, ["don't worry about earthly matters," I said.]
“I am alone,” he/she said,
He/she dived into the well of unwariness. [he/she’s gone woolgathering]
If he/she is not in the well of unwariness,
Neither does he/she see the room as dark,
Nor does he/she know the neighborhood as [if it were in] drought,
Nor does he/she find separateness in custom.
Furthermore, why is [there] loneliness for human
When my Allah is with you,
As long as my Allah stays in you?
If you search your surrounding, if you conform to your custom
If you know that HAK is in your heart,
Both your earth and your after earth life become bright.


What you look for in bunch, you can not find it in music.
Why?
Bunch is to number,
Music [is] to love, to the transformation of matter into meaning.
Bunch makes laugh, music makes mature.
He said, my Yunus walked.

I am Mevlana.
Each event is reunited with [reaches] openness [clarity].

Each human talks to his/her Allah according to his/her wish. [? Each human talks to his/her Allah when he/she wishes [to talk]. ?]
[however,] The one who talks is not with tongue, but with his/her heart.
Not the tongue of heart; its [heart's] wish is HIM.

Each event that is called “small,”
Resembles the food that is eaten unrestrictedly [without limit].
[if one does not know The Meaning and does not understand the meaning of events [i.e. does not take lessons], then God creates "lesson giving" events [even the small events] again and again...]

Do the sea and the sky become united?
Are they separate so that they become united?
The vision of the eye separates;
In Reality, every thing is One.

Even though soil shows the giving, ocean [shows] the display, [ocean==God]
In the world of The [spiritual] Meaning, it is completely the opposite.
Why?
Soil nourishes for earth,
Ocean nourishes for after earth life, that’s why.

[human who has] The opposite of the current does not mature [spiritually]; [? There is no opposite of the current; ?]
Its [current's] giving comes from nowhere but HAK.
I told before,
Human whose current is high, is human who erases the soil,
Is human who knows the ocean.
[current means:]
The connection that human has with HAK.

We conformed to word, we entered the essence.
We opened curtain for so many eyes,
[however,] The curtain that is opened for each human is not one [the same].
[each human drinks from our spiritual water [chats] according to his/her cup [each human perceives according to his/her heart]]

The word of the path that we crossed, stayed far behind;
On the [current] day, HAK’s LIGHT came into hearts.
It is the era of maturity, its vineyard is ripe [mature].
We passed the drunkenness, we crossed over those paths.
We erased the wishes,
We said, “Eyvallah," for the one that happens;
Like that we found peace.
We became ready in heart, for the arrival.

He greeted, my Yunus came.
The one who does not pass the creek, the one who can not choose his/her place,
Is the one who can not cross the mountain, the stone.
Without crossing the mountain, the stone, without passing the creek,
You can not find the right one, you can not reach the flat path.
If you find fault in stone,
If you see the mountain as high,
If you say, “The creek is deep,”
Who says what to you?
How does he/she show [you] the path?
For that [reason] Hazrat Mevlana says,
“We crossed the mountain, the stone, we chose the grape,
We came together on flat plain."

I gave before:
Let one not go to my Allah with [another] human’s share.
You said, “Satan,” you asked.
You loaded all of your faults on him.
Did he one day [ever] have [a] complaint to make about you?
Why did you not blame yourself in any event?
You always looked for a being to load your crime on.
When faults are shared, [then] human rights settle up.
Soft path’s humans confide in each other.
For that [reason] do not make your ego dominant,
Do not enter HAK’s presence with share of [another] human.
Human’s share is not measured with matter
Because matter belongs to my Allah.
All [many] humans [who] put their ego forward
Blamed Satan for their [own] fault.

Let us be soft, let us erase the fear.
Each human is scared of storm
When finding the coast [of the ocean]. [ocean==God]
Let us know HIM, let us erase the fear.

I am Mevlana.
The one who takes the ship knows:
Captain gives its path, [captain determines the course and drives the ship]
Traveler sees the coast. [ocean==God; captain==saint; traveler==human who learns the teachings of the saint[s]]

Let greeting be to all of you.

Let one know to laugh in heart.
Let us know the path as much as we walk,
Let us love the rose as much as it is gathered.
Let us take greeting as much as we are loved.
Greeting is for the one who loves, for the one who is loved,
Greeting is for the one who is on the path of HAK.

One does not say word about the return [to after earth life],
Without mursheed no halvah is mixed, [halvah=a confection consisting of a paste made of ground sesame seeds and nuts mixed with honey, etc.]
However,
Even if you do not have mursheed, you can still eat from the halvah,
You may say, “It gave [according] to hal." [nevertheless, you may understand in accordance with your capacity...]

I am Mevlana.
I gave my word, in HIS each human I saw HIS Essence.
I presented from the 'sherbet' of HAK. [sherbet=any of a number of nonalcoholic drinks made with sugar and spices or sugar and fruit juice]
At the place of meydan, I mixed halvah,
“Let the one who wishes, come
Even if he/she is kneaded with sin,” I said,
As long as he/she takes the taste of the one that comes from HAK.
Let him/her be inclined to be repenter.

In the beautiful one, you see the fall of the [autumn] leaf,
In bud, you see the building of HAK.
Let you know that bud is from HIM as well as autumn leaf [is] to HIM.
Let you find in HIM the being of all humans.

Are the existence and the nonexistence one [the same]?
Created thing is the attribute of the nonexistence,
In other words, its image form.
In Reality there is no nonexistence.
The one that is created does not become nonexistent.
The state of The Existence [in human] is the state of Darling.
The appearance of The Existence [in matter] is the privilege of human.
When knowing that he/she exists,
When conforming to earth like that,
When connecting the assembly to oneness,
[then] He/she does not take the word of the one that is forbidden,
[then] He/she does not stay on earth with heart. [[when he/she knows The Reality,] he/she does not fall in love with earth]
Even if summons [for migration to after earth life] is in line,
Unless Darling is not in heart,
No reason stays for his/her summons. [if Darling is in his/her heart, he/she is willing to migrate to after earth life, he/she is not scared of death]

Who was summoned to Tur? [mount Tur==mount Sinai]
When summoned, what did he find?
Musa [Moses] did not wish for himself.
If he wished for himself, his wish would have come true.
If his tribe conformed to him, all of them would find.
The one who says, “My Allah,” the one who knows HIM,
Does not say, “I/me;”
He/she says, “Let me be one with all [humans], let me see HIM in all [humans] .”
He/she can not fit HIS BEING into the narrowness of hearts.

The horse on which packsaddle is put, prepares itself for load.
The value of the load that is put on some, is more than the horse.
I said not the weight, but the value.
Then, the value that is given to horse is because of its load.
However, whatever load it takes, walking of the horse is the same.
[similarly,] Human has [carries] also a lot of loads that he/she does not know their value[s].
Human who wishes to mature [spiritually],
Let him/her say,
“My Allah, give me force according to the difficulty [load] that you give,
Let me have no complaint, let my heart not stay [behind] on [Your] path,
I wished for YOU, I took the path,
Let the body be on the [Your] path, [let] the heart [be] in YOU.”
My Allah gives to none of HIS humans
Load that he/she can not carry.
When HE gives, HE does not withhold his/her [? HIS ?] power.

My Yunus says:
The chimney of the one who worries for no good reason
Is black.
The heart of the one who erases the worry
Is toward Darling.
[the heart of] The one who wishes for earth
Is toward struggle.

Let us not forget:
Wherever the heart may be,
One has many occasions
To find HIS path,
To know him/herself,
To say, “My Allah.”
After each one that goes, [after each occasion that is missed]
There is another [one] that comes
As long as we wake up from the sleep.

Let us welcome
Not the one who runs away,
But the one who comes.
If you say, “Let us retreat to shade, let us avoid greeting,” [let me hide so that he/she does not see me]
“You can not oppose the going of the path,” he said,
My Yunus greeted.

If you seek the sign [evidence] of the spirit in the corpse,
If you ask about the equivalent of green, [green==color of the Light of Prophet Mohammad]
[then] You become utterly bewildered.
Because corpse is the one that is nonexistent: to be stayed in, to be migrated from. [corpse is the place where the spirit stays while on earth, then the spirit migrates to after earth life]
If it is like that,
The relationship of the body and the spirit is like in the example of cage.

If we came as guest, where is our host/hostess?
If we became owner of house, where is our property?
Where is the one that we created?
The One Who created is HIM, as well as the One Who comes [to earth],
As well as the One Who says, “Conform to ME,” to the one who says, “Let me go [on Your path].”

Let us be pleased, let us please;
Let us find as pleased, let us go as pleased.
Let us know the going, let us know so that we find.
Let us mix The Meaning with Matter, let us distribute to all [humans].

Let us first be dispersed, then let us all be one.
There is hikmet in dispersal,
Because dispersal is 'being sifted.'
Similar to how you first sift the flour,
Then you mix [it] with water, you make dough,
You divide again to [loaf of] breads.
Dough is the coal state of the wood.
Let it not be forgotten that dough is also cooked,
Only after it is cooked, it finds its being.

HIS Existence in hearts, erases narrowness.
Let you be entrusted to my Allah.
Let you find HIS Existence even in sand.


If you say, “My namaz is HIS,” [I worship HIM] [namaz=to pray while prostrating]
The favor is from HIM.

I am Mevlana.
We knew carving in human,
We saw the handkerchief in pocket,
We put on display in the sun.
The day on which
You know your [? HIS ?] place,
[the day on which] You solve HIS path,
[the day on which] You take HIS giving,
Handkerchief finds its value.
Without cleaning [the dust of] The Meaning, [without understanding The Meaning clearly]
Without entering the pasture,
You can not put point to the universe. [you can not understand/perceive the universe [i.e. that the universe may fit into a point]]
Without knowing the universe,
You can not have enough of seeing the creations. [when you know the universe, then you admire HIS creations endlessly]

When word is said about wish,
When one gives heart to green, [green==Light color of Prophet Mohammad]
What you expect becomes true, your word finds its place.

Word is said in two [different] humans, in two tongues, [i.e. Mevlana and Garib?]
Path becomes convenient.
All of them know the hearts.

If you set fire to the kindling, it burns as much as its oil,
When its oil finishes, it dies down.
If its surrounding is full, they turn to one another. [the flame ignites its surrounding]
Let us find in burning kindling, the human who is being washed spiritually.
Let us know the days that the wine passed. [let us remember how much time passed before grape juice became wine; human’s spiritual maturation is like that too…]

Why is the dispersal of human?
What is meant by dispersal is: first "manyness," then "oneness."
Grapevine['s] single root disperses in bunches,
Ripens with sun, is crushed with foot;
They all again become one, come to the hand of the cupbearer.
In [to]day’s subject, dispersal of bunches,
Crushing of grapes is recorded.
[although] [to]Day’s subject is in the tongue[s] of all [humans], in the hal of each human,
Irrelevance [is in] dumbness, [although day’s subject concerns every body, one is not aware of it, it is not discussed]
[irrelevance is in] Not seeing his/her [? HIS ?] place,
[irrelevance is in] Not spreading [opening] his/her heart.
In reality, neither the one who does not know his/her [? HIS ?] place,
Nor the one who does not spread his/her heart, has his/her fault [is faulty].
There is [a] period that each creation goes through.
On [to]day, it is [similar to] the crushing state of the grape.
There is no place for regret.
It should not be forgotten that crushed grape
Becomes wine, it is presented to all [humans].

There is [a] grape grower in each vineyard,
[there is a] Caravansary boniface on each path.
Neither does the vineyard stay without grape,
Nor does the caravansary [stay] without traveler.
[however,] From generation to generation, period changes.
Each passing day gives the good news of the coming one.
If you say, “Circumstances deteriorate, morality gets lower [corrupt/worse],”
What do you put to opposite [side of the scale]. [when you say negative, what do you compare it with as positive]
“Beautiful,” is said, measure is taken with “ugly.”
When you say, “Ugly,” to the ugly one, what do you put to opposite [side]? [ugly relative to what?]
You say, “Very high,” for the wall that you can not cross.
When you lean ladder [against it], height is erased.
Therefore, the one that can not be crossed, stays outside of the measure.

The one that you initially listened to as tale,
The one that you slept with its dream, [the one that you have been dreaming of]
When its day comes, when it becomes reality,
It loses its value as tale.
He/she throws his/her dream even farther.
Its horizons are so endless that its coast is not found.
Even if it is opened until doomsday, it does not come to its end.
Because it has no end.
If you say, “Why?”
Each human’s dream is as much as his/her own diameter.
Let me open [explain]:
When you throw stone to the sea,
No matter to which point it comes,
It traces circles.
Human’s diameter in the universe is like that too.
Feeling depends on the giving [of God],
Love increases one’s diameter.
Love, [is also] because of the giving of course,
However, human kneads it with the yeast of heart.
If his/her yeast is gone bad,
[then] Where does the value of the dough stay? [then the dough would have no value]
If you say, “What is the 'turning sour' of the yeast?” [how does the yeast go bad?]
By knowing the earth as the residence.

My Allah is all humans’
Because all humans are HIS.

The one who comes to his/her senses, is seen
That he/she erased/erases the oath, [that he/she does not swear in the name of God]
That he/she finds the salvation in HIS name.

Ask the one who gives the punishment, saying, “Why?”
“Punishment is acceptable for the one who is corrupt,” he/she says,
He/she assigns him/herself to duty.
Is my Allah not capable of giving
The punishment of the corrupt one?
If the corrupt one looks at
The soft head, [soft temperament]
The conformity [of HIS soft human] with each situation,
If he/she grabs the share of HIS [other soft] human,
Does he/she stay away from the vision of my Allah? [does my Allah not see him/her?]
Neither can one save him/herself,
Nor does the other one stay on the wrong path.
My Allah sees each hal,
Gives HIS human’s measure according to his/her hal.

Each one who puts his/her merchandize on display says,
“The most beautiful one is mine."
Human’s measure is in his/her eye.
[however,] Matter is measured with eye, meaning [is measured] with heart.
At each coast that you go to, you say, “I saw the most beautiful one.”
What do you measure the most beautiful one with?
Its measure is neither in you nor in me,
It is in my Allah.
For that [reason], whatever condition [situation] he/she may be in,
Let one not say word [about him/her], let one not give [him/her] measure.

In one drop, there is the essence of the universe.
In one heart, there is the whole of the universe.

If you do not put foot on the pileless carpet that you laid,
[then] Its dust is not from you.

My Yunus, with his dust, his eye that is in heart,
“Let the universe be yours, let it be tied in a knot in all of you,”
He said, he took the word.
If you write your name on the board, day comes worm puts [a] dot.
Your name that is “KIR [=gray],” becomes “kir [=dirt].” [the worm would go and stand above “I” to make it look like “i”] [I and i are two different letters in Turkish]
Is the human whom the worm put the dot on, dirty?
If you write your name on [a] stone, when day comes,
If you find the stone in two [pieces],
Do you stay in two? [would you be two pieces too?]
If you put on the light shoe, if you hit the road,
If you take the birds as guide,
How long does your going last?
Of course as much as your foot carries.
Let us conform not to our guide, but to our giving.
Let us say, “Our path entered the going, human saw HIS direction.” [the going==to be on HIS path, to conform to events]

Let us eat the fruit when it is ripe.
Let us have the bird as pet not when it is [a] baby, but when it grows up.

"No blessing is seen
In the rain that falls out of season," is said.
What do you see in the rain that falls during the [rain] season?
Do you measure [the blessing] with soil?
Say, “It carved his eye,” [say, 'He lost his eye because of the rain,']
Let me give the name of Veysel.
The rain that rained on him, took his eye,
However, LIGHTened his heart.

I gave what is being talked about, I rounded up at the beginning of my writing.
I saw wish in [for] green [color],
I solved the one that is in heart, I traced it with a frame [I encircled it because it is important];
I found oneness in two.
Openness is seen, it is rolled up [while one is] hand in hand;
[for such humans who hold hand in hand, and become one,]
Carpet is laid on HAK’s path.
With pleading, all of us we came to oneness.
We found the hearts as one.
We saw the hal in its master. [we saw the hal in "the master of hal"]
Let us erase the worry, let us find the openness,
Let us say, “Path is convenient.”
Word is in tongue, hand is in hand.

We opened the bookrest for the Koran,
We kneeled down before it, we chose the most beautiful one of the chat.
“Let us be together,
Let us know no day that is in separation, [let there be no day on which we are separated]” we said.
“Let greeting be,” he said, my Yunus walked.

Our workbench is neither there nor here, but in each heart,
[our workbench] Is together with the one who goes [to earth], with the one who comes [to after earth life],
[our workbench] Is [together] with each one who remembers, with each one who hears.

Let my Allah be pleased with all [humans].
Let hearts stay as happy,
Let all of you [humans] be blessed.
