BEYOND SUFISM

TRANSLATION OF THE CHAT/MESSAGE RECEIVED BY GARIB ON 17 DECEMBER 2009
(Sebi Aruz [annual remembrance day of Mevlana Rumi])

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST MERCIFUL, THE MOST COMPASSIONATE

We chatted night, [and] day,
We shared at each meal.
We interrogated the effort of being human; [? We became family in the effort of being human. ?]
In the shadow of each one who is created,
We asked the one who comes, the one who passes, [we asked passersby]
We said:
Are you beautiful in you together with You?
Are you special in life together with Him?

Mevlana said,
I am neither on earth
Nor in sky,
I am in Hak Whose Name I remember in each moment.
“Allah, eyvallah,” we said,
We bent down our head [with respect/with deep love].

Mevlana said,
The ones who know you, me,
The ones who find
You in me,
Me in you
Opened/open their heart doors,
Chose/choose the path of Hak,
Passed/pass the bridges.
Our wish is
Our arrival,
Our race with love. [our race to love more than one another...]

In the being of Mevlana
We found ONEness,
We erased the difficulty.
Around Mevlana,
We did not criticize anyone about anyone,
We did not knock anybody to the ground.
He wrapped [embraced] us saying, “My Life Close Friend,”
He wrapped us in his whole beauty
In each race. [race to love]

I said,
In your being
We shook our dust,
We poured out the dirty waters,
We threw away the stones that were on our skirts.
You are
The spring [season] of our path,
The Sultan of our hearts.

Mevlana said, “Aman!” [Please!/For goodness sake! [I do not mean to get credit for myself]]
He wished for remedy for troubles.
He smelled each flower,
Joined [connected] rose branch to Hak. [rose==Prophet Mohammad; rose branch==Mevlana/Garib’s congregation, i.e. all humans who read and understand ONEness of HEARTs]
Let Mevlana’s word
Be our word,
Let one’s eye look like his [Mevlana’s],
Let one’s dance [whirling] pour out the stones that are on skirts.

Let selam [peace/greeting] be to all universe,
Let all universe find us.

Let selam [peace/greeting] be, let selam be, let selam be.

Allahu Ekber [Allah is The Greatest], Allahu Ekber, Allahu Ekber.

Lailaheillallah Muhammeden Resulullah. [Allah is The only One to be worshiped; we wish to YOU and to Your Representative Mohammad.]
