IN THE NAME OF ALLAH, THE MOST MERCIFUL, THE MOST COMPASSIONATE
I sieved His soil,
I waited for His waters.
Mountains, stones opened path,
Brave ones passed through their paths. [brave humans went on these paths]
The one who had intelligence
Chose Hak’s path.
HIS path is open to the one who sets intention up.
Path of the Representatives is passage for the one who knows correctly.
I asked Mevlana:
Is each path one [the same]?
Is each one who knows the path, pir? [pir=master, spiritual guide; leader of a group of dervishes; founder of a dervish order]
Mevlana said:
Hak’s path is one for the one who sets intention up.
HIS love is abundant for the one who loves the creation.
Yunus Emre tied his horse to tree.
He waited for the traveler who would come.
He said to the traveler:
I have my food for the meal in my saddlebag.
I have my deep love to die for in my heart. [my deep love is so deep that I am ready to die for Darling]
Sit; let us share the food,
Let us chat in the name of deep love.
The traveler who came, rejoiced,
He mentioned the heart tie.
Yunus tells about deep love
As well as he makes [one] listen
As well as he makes [one] cry
As well as he makes one say.
He says:
If you know that close friendship is from Close Friend,
If you find Close Friend in close friend, [if you find Darling in other human]
You love, you are loved,
You laugh, you make laugh. [to laugh==to follow footprints of Prophet Mohammad]
Pir Sultan Abdal says
As well as he makes the word [that he will say] ready
As well as he watches the surrounding
As well as he feeds his birds.
He says:
Nourish the soil so that
Humans eat.
Feed the sheep so that
One is full up with its milk.
Put love in your heart so that
Earth and universe know.
We should be from the ones who know.
We should be proud of our hands that give.
Kaygusuz said:
We looked to the right, to the left,
We poured cold waters on ourselves.
Time came, [when its time came]
We put on the humanity of Hak.
We should love my Rab,
We should praise His Giving.
We should consider every creation
As from ourselves.
In the hand of Rabia
I saw three pens.
With one of the pens
She writes the one who matures [spiritually] in love;
With one [of the pens she writes] the one who matures [spiritually] in vision; [vision==to see HIM in His creations]
With one [of the pens she writes] the one who matures [spiritually] in wrapping [i.e. embracing the universe from heart].
Each one is precedent for humanity.
How many more close friends you make with
That much more of His “hikmet” you reach, [hikmet=1. wisdom. 2. philosophy. 3. real meaning, hidden meaning. 4. purpose, point. 5. the unknowable intentions of God.]
That much more beautiful hair you comb.
Meryem and Fatima came, [Meryem=Virgin Mary]
They brought the most beautiful fragrances.
Meryem said:
Our corner, our lineage, our arms
Are open to each one of you.
Our path will be passage,
The one who says [about] his/her trouble
Will find remedy.
Fatima said:
Did hands find one another? [did humans hold hand in hand?]
Did eyes always see The Beautiful One?
Did tongues praise the creation?
My Rab Who made me read with myself,
My Rab Who made me weave with His science
Looks at the universe with His blessing.
At each place where it is wished,
HE pours His [spiritual] water to his/her hand.
That water
Is the “hikmet” of being created, [hikmet=1. wisdom. 2. philosophy. 3. real meaning, hidden meaning. 4. purpose, point. 5. the unknowable intentions of God.]
[is] The blessing of The Creator.
There is 'knowing' in the eye of the wise ones, [knowing==to know The Meaning]
[there is] Science in their essence.
'Knowing' opens the door of science.
The one who works hard,
Goes to the post that he/she [? HE ?] desires, they said,
Each one of them greeted.
Let selam [peace/greeting] be, let selam be, let selam be.
Allahu Ekber [Allah is The Greatest], Allahu Ekber, Allahu Ekber.
Lailaheillallah Muhammeden Resulullah. [Allah is The only One to be worshiped; we wish to YOU and to Your Representative Mohammad.]
